    Great Neighborhood Spot

Good atmosphere and a unique menu of classic American comfort food served with a little gourmet flair. Service can be spotty, but the crowd of locals and good atmosphere make it worthwhile. Not crazy about the seafood or desserts, but steaks, chicken, appetizers and sides are great.

    Delicious every time

We order delievery from 138 more than any other restaurant, hands down. we tend to order the same thing every time (skirt steak salad and veggie/goat cheese sandwich) because it's THAT good, but we've been good at branching out lately! while i write this, i am eating the spicy chicken tortilla soup and the farfalle pasta with peas and prosciutto. absolutely delicious. good portions (not heaping) for the money and always delivered hot (even on a subzero night!). they are consistent with their service and always in a timely fashion. (i will say that one time they mixed up our order, but once notified they were quick to send out the correct item free of charge.) ... i should probably add that i rarely write online reviews! ..so felt it was high time i give this place a little credit :)

    A true neighborhood spot

As someone going here for 2 years now I would say that while the menu doesn't really change, it is good, reliable and only the main courses are more than 10 dollars a plate, the drinks are always solid with Al tending bar, And.. a few good valued wines by the glass are sweet. The brunch doesn't excite like Bar tabac but the garden is nice and the wait staff's friendly demeanor makes up for slightly spaced-out service. Burgers, sandwiches and calamari shine for me.

    Good but ...

I've been here a bunch of times and usually love it. however on a tuesday night we went with 8 people and waited almost two hours for our food and the service was subpar. Still the food was pretty good, i suggest steak sandwich, not really the lobster ravioli, or pork chop, mashed potatoes are yummy and i love the brunch.

I've been here a number of times since moving to Cobble Hill and I keep coming back for more. Every couple weeks I get a calling for one of their crab burgers and I just can't resist it. The lobster ravioli is suburb as well. It's a great place just to graba drink as well. Next thing to try: their brunch. Can't recommend it enough.
