I was there last night. I've never before written a review here but I feel compelled to because I'm still dreaming of that absolutely delicious pork chop. The sauce, slightly spicy, perfectly tender meat! My friend had the steak and he was super happy as well.

I have visited Apartment 138 numerous times. Each time the place has grown on me. In fact, one of the owners, Alfred is a doll. He is often the bartender and is a talented mixologist. They also do a superb brunch. I believe in reading review, but ultimately making my own decision based on the dinning experience.

everything on the menu is delicious! slight obsession with the sliders and amazing atmosphere and music selection.

Not much more to say other than I didn't enjoy my meal and it was bad service (slow and not apologetic). Won't be going back.

Having lived in the neighborhood for 4 years I know this place well. It has always been hit or miss on food and service, but that has generally made up for by decent prices and atmosphere. Today, they were doing good business but not too crowded due to holiday weekend. There is a $12 (formerly $10) brunch special of food, coffee, and drink. Joined my wife and her sister at 2pm... they had ordered and received their food and drink in 20 minutes and were finishing up. Waiter brought me a menu. Took him 10 minutes to check back for my order... a simple order of pancakes. side of bacon, and mimosa. My wife and her sister had only been there 20 minutes and were finishing up their meals. after 20 minutes, no food, so I ask what is taking so long "oh the pancakes take a long time" 15 minutes later..."Oh I'm sorry your pancakes came up but were brought to another table... The bacon came out cold, it had obviously been sitting around for a while. The pancakes and syrup were covered in cinnamon. Good thing I was ok with that. but disappointing. He did offer me a free drink, but I was too annoyed with them to accept. Too bad, this place could be amazing but everytime I go I am disappointed by the half assed and inconsistent service, half the time i never get the muffins or bread or coffee. very frustrating. I won't go back anymore, Who needs to treated like this? In the time it took I could have gone shopping and made my own pancakes. I only hope it doesn't turn into another crappy clothing store.

Nice place in Brooklyn Heights. You can eat at the bar. I have nothing bad to say!

I've been twice; both times I didn't think the food was good at all (poor guacamole- my fault for ordering that). This most recent time the service was horrendous. The waiter apologized, saying that the kitchen was behind, but he did nothing to make the experience better (i.e. still took forever to get the check to us). I can think of at least 15 other restaurants in the near vicinity that I'd go to over this place.
