Huge hike in prices, no change in quality.
AOC used to be one of those "decent" local restaurants - nothing special but the food was decent, the prices were decent, and the service was almost decent. In the last few months, they replaced a few of the junkier tables and chairs, printed new menus and jacked up the prices by about 30%. It is outrageous as the quality of food, service, and atmosphere remains completely unchanged. AOC is now for the turistas. - we locals are smart enough to avoid.

Comically poor service
I have never seen service so disappointing. I went for my birthday. There were 8 of us. They lost our reservation. Drink orders never came. We went to the bar to get drinks after realizing the waiter wouldn't return. Bartender said that always happens because "The service sucks." The waiter was confused when we asked for the water to be refilled during meal. Entrees were brought before appetizers. Some apps and entrees came out simultaneously - some people had no food - one friend didn't get her meal until the minute before the check came. Atrociously bad. I'm a food person, I like a garden environment but despite the food being fairly good I would never darken their door again. EVER.

Nice Casual WV Spot
Went for lunch, party of four, sat out back, very nice atmosphere. Omlets were good, sandwich was good, fries were very good. Service could improve but overall a nice resonably priced spot for lunch in an area where the choices are endless.

Amateur Hour
We walked in off the street because another restaurant had an hour wait. We were seated in the front corner, ignored, waited over an hour for disappointing mussels (watching people I'm the main area who were seated after us enjoying their meals). Left hungry, angry and disappointed. Avoid, there's far too many restaurants in the wv for this amateur service.

rude on the phone
I really like this place, but the woman on the phone can be really rude!

What the angels don't eat!
"When one has tasted it he knows what the angels eat" - Mark Twain. Let me make it clear that this was a place that even the ghost of Mark Twain wouldn't venture near. I went here with a few friends and ordered the escargot & confit de canard. The ecargot were chewy and sadly done. The confit de canard was surely reheated and an unfortunate choice. The plus side was sitting by the windows watching the people walking by (to eat decent food - presumably!) I might visit again but not to eat - more to sit by the window and watch the world go by...

Cotes De Boeuf
I've eaten here a few times and generally agree with the concensus that the food is decent americanized French - large protions. The other night I took a friend and we ordered the Cotes De Boeuf for two. What we got was a large-maybe 20 ounce-steak that was very fatty. I ate it without much problem but my friend was not able to deal with the fattyness of it. The bearnaise had curdled which means that it was probably reheated. The sauce still tasted good but the consistency / texture was not there. At $60 for the beef we got a lousy deal. Their regular steak is a better deal. I will probably go back but I won't be ordring the steak for two again.
