awesome
This place has been there for such a long time it is hard to remember 2nd st. without it. Always great atmosphere, great martinis and vodka infusions, live music. I don't recommend it early evenings on Friday and Saturday when it is packed to the roof and everyone orders at the same time, maybe after midnight. Watch out for hot waitresses. This place is like a family...

Mostly a bar, not so much a restaurant
I come here for the vodka, basically. I guess it's technically a restaurant, but everyone I know comes here for the infused vodkas. It's kind of expensive and the service is slow, but what do you expect? It's european.

Love This Place
This is one of my favorite EV places. It's quaint and unpretentious and is great for a date or for an evening with good friends. The vodka is amazing and the crepes are dreamy. I highly recommend a visit!

$8 for Syrup
If you want 2 teaspoons of Hershey Syrup over a candle, half a kiwi, and two strawberries, and you want to pay $8 for it, this is the place to go! And when you ask to switch it for something more Russian, you get Carnival Ice Cream with more Hershey Syrup & dry walnuts. Fabulous, if that's what you are looking for... Fondue is made from REAL chocolate, not corn syrup with chocolate flavoring.

Went this Saturday for lunch, b/c it looked cute from outside and the crepe-laden menu sounded promising, if pricey. For the lunch prix-fixe menu, we were treated to a mesculin salad with balsamic vinegar dumped all over it, followed by a poor and unseasoned borscht. The kicker was the chicken crepe, which is $14 on the dinner menu. It consisted of boiled, flavorless, dark meat chicken -- with bones -- and canned mushrooms, wrapped up inside a pre-made rubbery crepe that I could actually see our waitress/manager/"chef" reheating in the microwave. Do they even have a stove here?

Before last night, I've been to Cafe Anyway only for drinks, which were pretty decent, especially when coupled with beautiful live music. But last night, I cannot say that I would not recommend people to try it out. The waitress brought out the wrong drink and was not very attentive or polite; the bread took 20 mins, the food 50 .... and it wasn't even good. I had the spinach & crepe, which was ok, but got tired really fast. After some picking at the food, we left the place hungry, annoyed, and late to our next event. Overall, the length of time necessary to get your food, the unsatisfactory service and dishes are not worth your time...

Very good to excellent
Went there after a very nice afternoon at the Amato Opera. We had a wonderful time. Food was excellent, and the atmosphere was very conducive to having a great time. We will go back there often.
