    Excellent Food and Bargain

I've eaten here twice and have found the food excellent on both occasions. The ambience is very casual but also very pleasant. Although the service is not as professional as you might expect in a higher-priced restaurant, it's not inattentive or rude. And you have to check out the infused vodkas, particularly the dill. The food portions are generous, so two appetizers may be enough if you're in a hurry.

"All that glitters is not gold"

"All that glitters is not gold" Looks good on the menu but half our dishes were late and cold or overcooked (microwaved Russian Beef anyone?) The waitress was rude and uninformed of the menu. The music was good - they should get rid of the food so as not to pretend to be a "restaurant" - the crowd got so rowdy that it turned into a frathouse party. Ugly scene.

    disappointing service

Good food, good live entertainment and good flavoured vodka. Extremely impolite service, arrogant and fake. obvious lack of training in the service industry and appreciation of clients.

    Best Russian food

The food here is great. I often go for brunch, but I love the blini and the herring and potato plate. Everything here is excellent, I crave this place all the time. Highly recommend.

    you will love this place

The only flaw here is the service - as mentioned by others, the service is dreadfully slow. However, the food, infused vodkas and atmosphere make it more than worthwhile. Definitely try a crepe and the chicken stroganoff. Awesome for a date or just to try with a friend. I disagree with the person who said it was only good for bar scene- i'd never come here JUST for the bar - the food is too amazing to pass up and bar area is pretty tiny. Other pros: live music (not crazy loud) and great ambiance.

Crepes and caviar for under $10!

Where else in the city can you get a dish that includes red caviar for under 10 bucks? To the dude who is dissatisfied with their fondue... who the eff orders fondue at a russian restaurant?! Perhaps you should have checked out what traditional foods are best to order at russian restaurants. Russian food is definitely not known for its' fondue.

    pretty cool atmosphere

cozy place has stood the test of time, i only ate there once after downing seven frozen vodka shots and about twenty-five gherkens, i had a smoked trout appetizer and it was delicious. live music can be pretty good, lipbone redding's set compliments the experience wonderfully.
