    Great neighborhood spot

My wife and i moved to the UES last year and this has become our favorite Italian place in the neighborhood. Great place for a date or dinner with friends. Terrific food, affordable wine list and solid service make this place. Once you become a regular, service definitely seems to improve. The meatballs are the best I've had at a restaurant in a long time - I typically never order meatballs out but was told they were good, and they do disappoint.

    Spectacular from start to finish

We recently moved to the area and love this restaurant. From the start we could not stop eating the crusty italian rolls they served. We both had the veal and it was amazing. Service was courteous and prompt. Cant wait to go back and try the desserts and other entrees. A must stop if in the area..and if not worth coming to the area just for the food.

    Great UES spot

My husband and I just ate dinner here tonight for the first time. We had a great experience. The staff could not have been nicer. We brought our 5 month old daughter with us (who didn't make a peep!) and they didn't try to rush us out our make us feel uncomfortable. The spaghetti & meatballs were very good and the veal pappardelli was delicious (although the portion was very small). Overall, it was an excellent neighborhood spot.

Servicable Italian Food; Do Not Order Delivery

Antonucci serves servicable Italian food in a non-descript setting. If you are looking for a decent neighborhood place, then go. Do not order delivery, though, as the staff is really not equipped to handle orders. End result: it will take an hour plus if you get it at all.

    Good UES Italian

I have been here several times (and ordered in) and the food is very good. Fresh pasta and tasty sauces. The spaghetti and meatball is fantastic.

    Surprisingly good delivery, too

I've been here a few times with my family and have always had a good meal...love the beet salad, any of the fish dishes, and of course the spaghetti and meatballs. BUT ordered in from here last night and was surprised by how good it was after a 13 block trip. Spaghetti and meatballs are among the best I've had uptown, and even the beet salad traveled well. Sadly they do not send over the tomato sauce that comes on the table with the bread in a restaurant, but I guess that's a good reason to go back next time! Seriously good delivery option though.

    Perfect Neighborhood Spot

Despite walking by this place a million times, we had never eaten there. It won't take us long to go back! The space has been at least four restaurants in the 20 years we've lived in the neighborhood, and this is the best of the lot. They serve really nice, fresh food, well-prepared, and the prices are not insane. The portions are sized for a normal person as well, which is something of a relief. I'm not a fan of gargantuan portions to justify high prices! If you can judge an Italian restaurant by their spaghetti bolognese and their chicken, this is a winner. Both were perfect, and absolutely satisfying. The minestrone was also authentic, and rich not the usual thick glop, but a pristine, deeply flavored broth with soft small-cut vegetables that retained their individual flavors. Salads were cold and crisp, and the dressings balanced and sophisticated. My pear salad with pumpkin seed vinaigrette and feta was really, really good tasty, savory, salty, oily and a little sweet: everything you want in a salad! I hope Antonucci makes it through the tough times it was empty early on a Sunday night. But, they seem to do a fair takeout business. This is a solid Italian place that won't let you down.
