If you are looking for absolutely tasteless food, overbearing service and a restaurant with an atmosphere that feels more like it belongs in a second-rate American city than in New York City, you've found your place.

From start to finish, could not have been more happy with this place. The wait staff treated us like royalty, the food was to die for, and the candle-lit atmosphere kept things cozy. Can't wait to go back.

I went here on a Sat night for dinner and was so disappointed by both the food and service. They sat us 50 minutes after our reservation without so much as an offer for a drink or food on the house. They were too busy that they 'forgot' to bring the friend zucchini and cheese (which in the past had come complimentary with the meal) which was also frustrating. The food here is just mediocre but I had wanted to go back because of what I thought was going to be the exceptional service - not any more.

A friend and I stopped into Antica Venezia for a last-minute dinner in the west village. We were amazed at the attentiveness of the staff, the quality of the food, and the beautiful decor. Too many restaurants in Manhattan are in a rush to turn the tables, this is finally a restaurant in Manhattan that really takes their time and gives fantastic service. Everyone should try this remarkable place.

I found this little gem on a website, so coming from England, with only 2 reviews to go by, it was always going to be a bit of a punt to take the wife here for our special new york meal. From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome. The service was exceptional all eveningand the food was delicious with a superb wine list to compliment it. Maybe all NY restaurants are as good, as this is the only one we went to, but i doubt it. Thanks boys for a terrific evening, will be back next year.

Just had a dinner party for 74 people at Antica yesterday celebrating my daughter's engagement. As usual, the food and service were outstanding! In fact, some of our guests remarked that it was the best party they ever attended. John and his staff made us all feel extremely comfortable and no request went unanswered. It is a pleasure to deal with such professionals who are always ready to accommodate their guests' every need. If you have dined there you know what I am talking about . If you haven't dined there yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation asap. You won't be disappointed.

My (then) boyfriend decided to take me there after my original choice for dinner had closed down. He said that the food was good. What an understatement!! As soon as you see it from the outside you know it's going to be cozy, but once inside I was totally blown away, not just by the serenity but also the romantic atmosphere (candle light, fireplace) and attentive staff. From the very beginning of our meal everything was perfection. I am a Gemini so I could never make up my mind as to what to order. Well host took care of that, I put my trust in his judgement. I DID NOT REGRET IT. My main course was prepared right in front of my eyes tableside. Everything was marvelous. The staff was very attentive. Anytime I got up from the table (before my BF could get up) a staff member was at the ready to pull my chair out. When I dropped something on the floor (e.g. napkin or silverware) before I could bend to pick it up, it was right at my fingertips via the staff. After the great meal I sent my compliments to the Chef and in return he complimented us with a mindblowing after dinner dessert drink. The total package in dining. WOW I recommend it to everyone. It's a gem amongst overrated, overpriced, pretentious wannabes. To anyone reading this ..The proof is in the pudding, in this case ravioli. Bon Appetit.
