Not to be missed
The best Italian food I have ever had. The food here is sublime. The wine is out of this world. The food is perfectly prepared and it is inventive without being overdone.

Beyond disappointing.
Really one of my worst restaurant experiences on memory. Our arugula salads both had dirt/sand in them. When we sent them back with that complaint the chef came out and claimed that it was the crispness if the arugula. One of our two main courses was cold, the bread was stale (when it finally arrived about 30 minutes after we asked for it) and the bartender (we ate at the bar) was scarce, unapologetic, and very slow with my simple wine reorder. When we were ready to pay the bill, not only was nothing comped, but the bartender actually said, "we didn't charge you for the salads."

overhyped
So I was really looking forward to dinner here last Friday night with my husband. We had an 8pm dinner reservation and we arrived at 7:45 the place was packed. They say us within 10 mins of arrival (not bad). We ordered the mozarella and proscuitto to start which was AMAZING. I was debating between ordering the gnocchi or tortellini for my entree and the waiter recommended the tortellini. Big mistake. I was really unimpressed and wasn't planning on getting a bowl of dumplings in soup :( Unfortunately I won't be coming back here. You can definitely find similar to better quality food elsewhere but if you're looking for meatpacking district vibe in williamsburg I guess this is the right place for you.

A Bit Overpriced
While the vibe was cool and the restaurant aesthetically pleasing, our seating arrangements could have been better. We were seated near the closet. Our waiter Cyrus was really attentive and great. But the real thorn was the overpriced very small portions. We were sorely disappointed. The chicken breast were sliced into 5 meager slices and was served on a huge plate with two brussel sprouts. It took us 8:43 to finish our meal, lol. Next time I'll get the pasta, well if I go again.

Favorite new spot!
For starters, the restaurant is gorgeous. There is a great fireplace with leather couches, that truly makes you feel as if you are visiting a close friend for a meal at their own home. The service is impeccable. Every member of the staff was attentive, and welcoming. Then, the food was incredibly delicious. The cacio e pepe is perfection. Highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great food in a great atmosphere

Great simple Roman cuisine
We went on a quite Monday night and the staff and owners were very attentive. The food was excellent, simple roman cuisine, just like you would get in Italy. If you are expecting a hipster place you are at the wrong address.

Maybe it's because they're new...
Was really excited to try Antica Pesa, but was vey disappointed. Overall, I had the impression that they were trying to impress with a 'rustic' Williamsburg sensibility, without having ever visited any of the local restaurants. The food was not bad, but was sorely over-priced ($18 for 6 gnocchi, c'mon). The atmosphere was nice, but felt a little contrived and probably better suited to midtown or the new developments near the waterfront (Edge, Northside Piers). While the server was pleasant, the overall service experience was really poor, bad execution in so many ways. The next time I want to spend more than $100 on pasta in Williamsburg, I'll go somewhere that knows what they're doing.
