My husband and I live in Manhattan Beach close to Anthony's Place. We would pass it on our way to the dry cleaner and I always wanted to check it out. We finally did and we were very happy across the board. Great service, tasty and reasonably priced food. My husband loved the homemade wine and the meatballs. It is a very homey, comfortable place and we will make sure to go back very soon. I highly recommend this nice little gem of a restaurant.

We have been going to Anthony's Place for about 8 years and have never been disappointed in the food. Wonderful baked clams, fried calamari and mussels. Their Bob salad is delicious. Delivery is also a very good option because portions are good at a good price. Enjoy!

My family has been enjoying this restaurant since it was Pizza Bowl. And as good as it was then, Anthony has ramped it up and really put this great spot on the map. Put it this way. we live in Jersey (and some of us live in Texas now). we drive across MANHATTAN to get to Anthonys place for dinner. Nuff said.

The food is "old-fashioned" Italian with some "new-fashioned" Italian thrown in. There are usually some really interesting and delicious specials on the board that are more new than usually found in a neighborhood restaurant 'cause Anthony likes to try new things...and he's very good at it. But even the "old-fashioned" dishes have a different spin on them...shrimp fra diavlo in a picy red clam sauce with mozzarella cheese melted on it on a bed of pasta! It's really yummy! And chicken parmagiana special with mushrooms, peppers and a layer of fried eggplant...delish! The place is noisy but that's good too 'cause there are a lot of regulars and they seem to know each other. It's kind of like going to your family for a big meal. Prices are good for what you get because the quality is good and the portions are large...I've taken home food just about every time. The waitstaff is friendly and service is great. If they didn't know you when you arrived, they will by the time you leave and, most likely, they'll remember you the next time you come in. Yes, it was the Pizza Bowl in days gone by but now it's definitely Anthony's Place and I hope it stays here a long time. Oh, yeah, and delivery is wonderful too on the days when you just can't get out.

Great food/ great service/ awsome staff.....feel like your paying grandma for dinner. Great food prepared per your likeing ,with a smile. They aim to please...and will please even picky grandma.Prices are not cheap but are fair for what they serve. Was called the PizzaBowl for those who left the neighborhood.

Went there for my bday in February 09 and the food was amazing. I used to go there when it was called The Pizza Bowl, YEARS ago. The food is perfect, it's a small place but it works for whatever you're looking to eat for Italian food. Oh and they deliver too!
