Excellent service- pretty good food
Had the 5 course tasting menu...the appetizers were great. A lot of thought went into them. The main courses and dessert were a wee bit disappointing...the flavors and textures didn't really meld as well (for example- whole soy beans and lamb). The service was warm and impeccable. Would def go there again.

That's all I have to say about that.

Boring Food
My date and I had the 5 course tasting menu which consists of one salad type of dish, an appetizer from the menu, two entrees from the menu and one dessert from the menu. The food was bland and very average. They served pinto beans with the lamb. And with the pork dish they couldn't even manage to get fried cheese right! The chocolate banana pudding cake was good but by no means remarkable. The service was good but the look & feel of the room was plain and shabby.

An enjoyable "post" Vday dinner
Wow - what a great restaurant. Let me just say Foie Gras dumpling appetizer... Apple tart dessert was fantastic. Also the lamb and sable entrees. Multiple folks recommended this place not to mention Platt and Michelin and my fiance and I weren't disapointed. Great service. Only gripe was the decor was indeed "minimal"... let's add some color, anyone? Not really a gripe at all, this is one you must check out. 10 on the romantic meter.

The Last Review... Continued
I wrote a review a bit hastily earlier today and wanted to correct it. A scheduling error was made by the reservationist, and as a result, we faced not having a dinner reservation for a very important night. However, Jorge, the manager was very persistent (and very patient with my agitation) and was able to work something out, getting us a table on a very busy night. In addition to getting us a table, the staff was incredibly gracious and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like special guests. However, we got the feeling that the service would be just as good if the restaurant hadn't made a scheduling error. The food was excellent -- there was not a plate that wasn't eaten completely. The service was impeccable -- they were very nice and they knew every detail of every dish. The atmosphere was very calming and pretty. At the end of our meal, the restaurant comped us for 5 deserts. Each one was fantastic -- even though we were already full, we managed to clear off every plate. Despite a shaky start before the evening began, we had a wonderful evening, and will definitely be back.

Poor Service
My girlfriend & I made reservations to Annisa two weeks prior to our scheduled date to celebrate a very special and important date. Surprisingly, I never recieved a confirmation call from them, so I called them myself. When I did, I was told that they messed up on making our reservation and entered it on the wrong date... by an entire month! We were also told that they were totally booked for the night, and could not accomodate us. Despite my instance that something had to change, nothing was done accept an apology given. Because of the size of party and the fact that it was a Friday night, we were unable to get an acceptable reservation elsewhere.
