    Worth the spluge

I had one of the best meals I've had in NYC in quite some time here. Of the 2 apps and 2 entrees we ordered, I would rate 3 as excellent and 1 as very good (the snapper was my favorite). The deserts were also excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. Very romantic decor, perfect place for a special occasion (if you're feeling frisky, ask for one of the tables with a bench seat and you can sit next to your significant other). They also have three round tables that can seat 6 - 8 people. It's expensive but definitely worth the money -- apps cost mid to high teens, entrees high 20s to low 30s, deserts $9, cheapest bottle of wine is $40. My only complaint -- I wish they were open for lunch!

    Amazing Meal

Went for a birthday celebration and the food was amazing. Have to get the soup dumplings with seared fois gras, the most decadent taste! Short ribs were also to die for. Overall one of our favorites in the city, we will definitely go back next time we have special occasion!

    Excellent service- pretty good food

Had the 5 course tasting menu...the appetizers were great. A lot of thought went into them. The main courses and dessert were a wee bit disappointing...the flavors and textures didn't really meld as well (for example- whole soy beans and lamb). The service was warm and impeccable. Would def go there again.

Way over priced and way under yummy

That's all I have to say about that.

    Boring Food

My date and I had the 5 course tasting menu which consists of one salad type of dish, an appetizer from the menu, two entrees from the menu and one dessert from the menu. The food was bland and very average. They served pinto beans with the lamb. And with the pork dish they couldn't even manage to get fried cheese right! The chocolate banana pudding cake was good but by no means remarkable. The service was good but the look & feel of the room was plain and shabby.

    An enjoyable "post" Vday dinner

Wow - what a great restaurant. Let me just say Foie Gras dumpling appetizer... Apple tart dessert was fantastic. Also the lamb and sable entrees. Multiple folks recommended this place not to mention Platt and Michelin and my fiance and I weren't disapointed. Great service. Only gripe was the decor was indeed "minimal"... let's add some color, anyone? Not really a gripe at all, this is one you must check out. 10 on the romantic meter.
