Brand new in Murray Hill!
I went to see this new place. They renovated everything and everything is brand new. I tried their Londonport sandwich and I have to say it's out of this world. They added a fresh tossed salad bar which is very fresh and the price is right. The employees are very friendly even when it gets very busy on the weekend. This is the place to be. Thanks for opening up. We were waiting for a place like this.

How many Anita's employees does it take to mess up a sandwich?
Answer: Anyone working here, alone or in a team. I'll start by saying that I have never written a review for anything before, but my experience(s) here have forced me over the edge. I have lived in Murray Hill for about 7 years, and have seen businesses come and go in this location, and was really hoping this place could fill a void. Today marked my 5th, and final try at this place - so I can't be blamed for not giving it a chance. I realize it can take time to nail down an operation. Like clockwork, every single order I've placed here has been screwed up, one way or another. From egg sandwiches on the wrong bread, to salads with the wrong dressing, to the totally wrong order altogether...whether delivery, or carry-out...just a total failure. Today was my last attempt. A simple order in my hurry. Tuna salad, whole wheat wrap, tomato, onion, swiss. The moron behind the counter repeated it to me twice, I corrected as necessary and nodded my approval. Then, I peered at his work over the counter and saw him goin for the lettuce. I tried to stop him. Another candidate for 'world's dumbest deli counter clerk' stepped in to help. I repeated the order as nicely and clearly as possible. Everything seemed ok now that an extra set of eyes was on the job. I am now home staring at my wrap, which I tossed into the garbage out of frustration. No swiss. Now, I wouldn't normally expect much and am by no means high-maintenance. All I wanted was the sandwich I ordered (4 times in 2 mins), while in a hurry to get home. They have truly elevated ingorance to an art form. Don't let the cafe area, clean sign, and new tiles on the floor fool you....This place is a joke.
