    Tasty , Romantic Fare

I wanted to write and thank the owners and wait staff for a pleasant, flavorful dinner last Saturday, July 31. I and my companion had an early dinner before going to the Angelika movie theatre. The Chicken Curry was meaty and thick with substance and the Tandori Chicken had nice bite to it. The vegetable mix of cauliflower and potato with a mildly spicey tomato sauce complimented both meat dishes. I tried two Indian beers named Maharajah and Kingfisher that did not over power the taste of the rest of meal selections. The staff were attentive and gave us adequete time to decide on our meal. Once again, thank you for a nice evening and I hope to return again soon to try other items on the menu. Sincerely, Margaret L. Shore

Restaurant luxury while feeling at home

I have now been to Angon on several occasions. The food is simply incredible, particularly because it veers towards authentic home cooked flavours, quite unique in Indian restaurant food. The atmosphere is very upmarket but at a reasonable price, which makes this the best destination among the Curry Row restaurants. The service is outstanding and personal. Don't forget to try the desert offerings, so often neglected at Indian restaurants but top quality here.

    Fantastic Experience!

When you first walk in the atmosphere hits you, its cozy and exotic with wonderful sitar music in the background. The owner is fantastically friendly. My friend from MI and her 7 year old daughter went with me; her daughter had never had Indian food but was willing to try. The owner made her feel really comfortable and special. And the food was fantastic. Granted it was only my second experience with Indian food, but the tastes were absolutely superior. Even if you've never tried Indian food, I'd recommend this restaurant to experiment with. You will have a blast!
