My new home
This is the first time i went angon with my friends (big group) and we had a great time. Food is good. Service is great. Nice place for homecooking indian food. Angon is my new home for indian food. Best dal fry i ever had anywhere in the city. Also tandoori chix wings is sooo good.

Disappointed
After reading the reviews this restaurant got, I felt compelled to try it, but I have to say this place is mediocre at best, this includes the food, price and service. Disappointed.

Excellent!
The food at Angon is a step above the other Indian restaurants on 6th Street (and maybe in all of NYC). The food is incredibly flavorful without being weighed down by heavy sauces. Angon is a must for Indian food! Also, the delivery service is excellent!

Great food, wonderful service
We went to Angon to try Indian food for the first time. My husband is a VERY picky eater and the staff explained ingredients and recommended some great dishes. Try the samosa chat and alu tikka. Delicious. Some have complained about small portions, but we had plenty of food to bring home. You'll definitely feel welcome and taken care of by the staff. We look forward to sharing this restaurant with friends.

A Must
We are so happy we went here! The atmosphere is spacious and attractive, the service is excellent and attentive, and the food was wonderful. They even prepared something for us that wasn't specifically on the menu. We will definitely be going back many many many more times.

I heart Milton
This is an excellent indian restaurant. The service is fabulous and the food magnificent. My friend complained early on about the tandori chicken being too dry...within a week the chef was fired and the chicken along with every other dish has been amazing since. Milton, the owner, is one of the nicest guys around and always gives special treats to the regulars. I highly recommend becoming a regular.

Feel Like Family!
My boyfriend and I, in the mood for Indian, were perusing the many restaurants on 6th btwn 1st & 2nd Ave. We stopped in Angon because it seemed quiet and romantic- it just so happened that they had openned a few weeks earlier. The owner gave us such a warm welcome, and he recommened several dishes, which his sister then helped prepare. The food was so fresh and flavorful- complex, subtle and perfectly spiced. We had a terrific time-- every time we went! Every time we go back we're greeted with such genuine warmth- we feel sincerely welcome. We just brought some friends Friday night, and we all enjoyed the low-key atmosphere, the rich food and of course, the owner's company! Truly A Five Star Experience!
