Good food, but not worth the price
The basic meals are yummy but not worth the price. I ordered chicken parm with extra mozz and linguine and it came to nearly $21. It starts at $17 and then they add $2.50 for extra cheese. I expected to have a dish that would last at least 2 meals with that price. What I got was what looked like a kid size portion of linguine and a measly amount of mozz that barely covered the piece of chicken. The food tastes good, but not much better than you can get at a regular pizza place, which would charge you much less than $21. I'll order from somewhere else next time.

Not Recommended Part II
We arrived for lunch @ 1:45PM to be told they had no bread for heros or paninis. Not being in the mood for pizza, we had eggplant parm and chicken parm, both of which were smothered in too much mozz to compensate for the mediocre primary ingredients and both of which were accompanied by over-cooked , flaccid pasta. Way too much salt involved, too. Service was slow and frustrating, as we could see the waiters and busboys in a knot by the kitchen entrance chatting away. Nice space with lots of natural light and with several tables spaced pretty far apart. Felt more like a highish-end Italian coffee shop than a bona fide restuarant. Slightly expensive for what one got, too.

I ordered the goat cheese and beet salad for 8.50 with an additional 5$ chicken. The salad itself was a size of a side salad with very little (I'd say half a teaspoon) goat cheese and slivers of beet. I asked the waiter to add more goat cheese and he rudely told me: "I can but I'll have to charge 2.50$ for extra cheese". I was tempted to just go to the nearest food emporium and buy my own container of goat cheese but...anyhow, don't come here! They gave me 4 small strips of chicken for 5$! C'mon!

Good food, not service
I took my family to Angelo's for dinner on October 9th. I have eaten there in excess of 20 times and, as usual, the food was good and a good value; however, the service was pretty bad. We were seated at 6:00 p.m., and at that point the restaurant was not crowed. It was 20 minutes before our server came to take a drink order. The food came within a reasonable time but not all together; that is, three people got their dishes and the other two had to wait another 7 to 10 minutes. The food was brought to us by the bus staff; the waiter did not reapper at our table until a full hour after he took our order, and we had to flag him down. He never asked to refill our drinks. For that matter, our water glasses were never refilled. We desparately wanted dessert and coffee but when we asked the bus person for a dessert menu, he said we would have to get it from our waiter, so that was another 10 minutes. After ordering, it took 15 minutes to get our coffee. Of course, we had to ask to the check. We were in the restaurant for two hours, about one hour longer than we wanted. The waiter made absolutely no apologies for the subpar service.

Just get take out and you'll do fine...
We worship the salads here, esp that honeyed dressing on the Arugula one, and the Siciliana (remember to tell them NO anchovies). Each salad has its own fresh dressing and yes, they are stingy with dressing, but yes, they will give you an extra dressing on the side if you ask. The sauce on the Spaghetti Pomodoro is gorgeous, perfectly balanced and garlicky, and the pizzas are very thin and very good. Your troubles only begin if you eat here - management force you to listen to loud, harsh, ugly, pounding music, which they will not ever turn down, making conversation impossible under the tin ceiling. We don't like to scream at lunch or dinner, so, although this is our office local, we've stopped taking clients to lunch here - they have lost a fortune just by being wired and bullying and snarky about everything, from refusals for (admittedly, delicious) meatballs to a bit of butter for the cheap, not very good white bread rolls. It's amazing that in a neighborhood where people are used to being treated nicely, this nonsense goes on, but it's their loss. Tip: order a salad/pasta/pizza and pick it up yourself. Delicious, no stress, no noise, no snide refusals, and no tip required. Result!

never again!
We got a couple of glasses of water only after the 7th request over a period of 30 minutes. We spent an hour and a half just having a salad and a pizza. The pizza wasn't bad, but the salad had almost no dressing on it. One of us ordered a lemonade, which was basically a glass of water with a lemon slice on the rim. The tin ceiling made the place so loud that I had to read lips to have a conversation.

Best Pizza!
My roommates and I order pizza from here almost weekly with a salad to share with friends. It is consistently delicious and always a fast delivery. The gelato is really good too! :)
