Italian @ its best!!
My husband & I and a couple friends went to this restaurant a few weeks ago during our vacation to NYC. We all wanted real authentic italian cuisine and we luckily hit the nail on the head! The place was packed out on the Sunday nite we went, but the owner was very gracious and made room for us. Our server was awesome! If it was not on the menu, it was no problem--they prepared our meals to our liking. Our food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I have to say the Cannoli for dessert was the BEST I ever had. Other than the place having close quarters (therefore a little noisy) and is just a little pricey I would highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitley go back on our next visit to NYC.

subpar
We made reservation from 7pm, but when we arrived the seats were full, and the owner said us to wait 20-30 minutes. What kind of reservation? We never go there again.

great!
Heard great things about Angelo's and was not disappointed! Had 7PM reservations, but was running late and had to cancel them and take what we could get. Got there about 8:30 (Friday) and got a table in about 15 minutes. The Spedini appetizer was one of the best dishes I've ever had. Had the Losbter Ravioli, my son had the Veal Saltinbocca and both were great. If you like Spinach, then don't miss the side that's sauteed in garlic. The waiter was great, didn't rush us and could not have been more pleasant and professional. Can't wait to get back to NYC and eat there again. It was crowded and noisy, but unless you are looking for a romantic interlude, the hustle and bustle was just fine as far as I was concerned. It was argueably one of the best overall meals I've had and absolutely the best Italian ever!!

Fantastic
Place was great! The food is amazing and so is the service. Best mozzarella in all of New York, it compares on the same level as in Rome. Food is expensive but worth it. The portions are also very reasonable.

Good Italian Food
I have been going to Angelo's for over 13 years. I grew up at an Italian dinner table. Yes, it is crowded, tight tables and loud at times, but , the food is outstanding. My wife and I split an appetizer, have 2 entrees, wine for her and a Peroni for me, a 20% tip and get out for $100-$110 every time. $50 per person is a steal for a good dinner in NYC! Bottom line: my Calabrese mother even liked the food.
