    Outstanding

Possibly the most underrated porter-house in NYC. The sides and apps are all delicious with extra props to the creamed spinach. The drinks are stiff and the staff is capable and personable. Although some might say it is a little loud I think it fits the atmosphere as the area including the kitchen is open. Also this is the best bang for the buck steak house NYC hands down. Do you want a great steak dinner with all the trimmings at a doable price? Then go to A&M.

    great salad and steak

The caesar salad and fillet were excellent. The sweet potato was perfectly done. The waiter was very good, but the bartenders were a little rude. This place is not a hip NY restaurant. It is just a steakhouse...the bartenders can lose the attitude. Also....the coat check woman was dressed very inappropriately for this type of place.

    .

Went a few times for the pre fixe lunch & the food was great! Sometimes it's not on point, but overall, it's a great steakhouse! Great food, great value.

    Great fish...

I was there with my date and had the special: Chilean sea bass - out of this world excellent. We shared garlic mashes potatoes and I wanted to lick the bowl. My date hat a Romanian cut steak which he said was only good as opposed to the T-Bone he had had on a previous occasion which he rated really great. The waitress was quirky and nice. The crowd was OK. The A/C was way too cold. My guy (tall, big guy) was freezing in his business shirt.

    Go someplace else

Yes the steak was okay, and our waitress was really good, but the atmosphere at this place was just poor. The crowd mainly consisted of bridge and tunnel guys under the age of 30, acting as if they had never been in a restaurant before. With better steakhouses in the city, the next time someone says Angelo & Maxie's, I will just say no.

    Great Meal

My girlfriend and I were very impressed by the food and service here. We both splitt a Caesar salad and both had skirt steaks that were out of this world. Reasonably priced and would def go back there. Highly recommended

    Great Food, a little loud

The food here is great considering the price. Definitely in the top 3 or 4 steakhouses in the city. The atmoshphere is definitely is a little loud but if you're looking for a fun night out on the town this is definitely the place to be.
