    Great Breakfasts

It's great place to have breakfast. It's a nice park through the park for me and after a very filling omlette and the best home fries, a good way to walk it off. One of the best in the area, along with Park View and Hudson View.

Pretty good. Plus the area needs a diner!

This place is now called Vicky’s. It’s a pretty decent diner in an area that needs it. The food is okay, satisfying enough, & the cheap prices keep this restaurant in our rotation, especially when we want to take a break from the pricier brunches in the area. Service is pretty straightforward to friendly, depending, though I’ve never experienced the unpleasant service that others have mentioned. Hope this place sticks around… while it’s not my favorite diner in the world, I like it enough to want it to survive!

Dreadful food in a pleasant atmosphere

I had some kind of medical test last week and had to fast from breakfast until late afternoon, so I figured I'd have a nice filling omelet. This was the rubberyist omelet I ever ate. Tasteless cheese and cheap whitebread toast too. Never again. Everyone is very pleasant and friendly, however.

    Great spot!...

..if you’re an AARP member. I really wanted to like this place. I work in Jersey (so I know diners) and I always thought that it’s be awesome to have an authentic diner close by my house. This place proved that it’s not illegal to dream. Service was slow but I expected that (I even looked forward to it) but the food was very blah and I might even go as far as saying that it was tasteless. I can so totally see how it’s a neighborhood spot- the class of ’63 in the back of us seemed to have a blast.

Gotta love your neighborhood coffee shop

Good omelets and super fast delivery. If only they were open longer...

    "breakfast syrup?"

this place looks like a great coffee shop/diner from the outside, but it put me off that they give you generic smuckers "breakfast syrup" instead of maple syrup (the stuff is so bad they can't even legally call it maple syrup)... corn syrup and preservatives do not make my french toast more appetizing. then i went by today on monday morning at 10:15 and it was closed! what good is a coffee shop that isn't open at that time?

What a Neighborhood Deli should be

I might be biased, this is the first place I ate at while looking to buy in Washington Heights--I have fond memories and we also got the apartment. The service is what a diner should be, quick and pleasant. Its a neighborhood establishment and I would be very sorry to see it go. They are also very good at the weekend turnovers. You can linger a bit and they aren't breathing down your necks. Just be respectful of to the line out the door on Sat. and Sunday peak.
