Best Takeout on Montague
Was very surprised by some of the other reviews on here, so felt like another opinion was needed. Andy’s is the freshest, most reliable option for Chinese food delivery in Brooklyn Heights. I discovered it when I first moved to the neighborhood last year and have since ordered from them at least 1x a week. Some entrees are better than others, but the veggie dishes tend to be standouts: Baby Bok Choy, Eggplant w/ Garlic Sauce, Sauteed String Bean. Their Chicken w/ Garlic Sauce and General Tso’s are also excellent. Despite other reviews, I found the Sesame Chicken to be disappointing. It’s basically fried chicken cutlet with a syrupy sauce. The restaurant itself is nothing special—a pretty typical drab Chinese restaurant. Delivery is AMAZINGLY quick; it’s not unusual to have my food in less than 15 minutes with the smiling delivery man panting after literally running up my 4-story walk up. Try a veggie dish with brown rice for health and satisfaction!

kinda dreadful
I really wasn't expecting a whole lot from this place. I ordered vegtables and tofu -- not super hard to get right...It tasted slightly stale. The tofu had that processed, slightly sour taste. It was barely warm. The waiter disappeared after he set my food down for the next half hour. It was eerily empty. I don't know -- This was not for me!

Good takeout
Just ordered in from Andy's. Sesame chicken and pan fried pork dumplings. Both were delicious!

Really good Sesame Chicken. Always good when I order that!

fell off
not saying anything different from the other reviewers but yes, Andy's was good at one point (before 2006) and it has fell off.

. . . And it hasn't gotten an better.
I say DITTO to everything the reviewers below say: prior to about 2006, Andy's was the best. But then something changed and it's gotten too unpredictable. After hanging on for a long time, we've finally decided to stop ordering from Andy's and start looking for another Chinese delivery joint. And that shouldn't be TOO hard to do, 'cause all we expect is the basics. But Andy's can't give that anymore. I'll probably still go there for lunch 'cause I'm a sucker for their cheap-e-o lunch special, but I must advise against dinner there.

What!
It's changed. I felt like I was being rushed and when I left the tip on the CC, the waiter chased me from outside to ask where the tip was...so annoying. Don't recommend dine-in
