To those of you who were asking where Andy's went; It unceremoniously closed and was replaced by a place called 123 (or 8) Dumpling House. I tried it out once and it doesn't measure up. I also pass this place at a time when Andy's would have been packed, and there's hardly anyone in there. Oh well.

Great food, great prices, why are they closed? Renovations?-Great! Health violations? Not great!

I frequented Andy's for over 10 years. I have never had a problem with their food or service. Went this week but they are closed. ?

A lot of people will disregard places like this because they are small and aren't the best quality in the world. But it's cute, the food is pretty good and the service and value are amazing! I love to order chicken with broccoli with white rice and an egg roll for only 6.50 (lunch special) and it is usually delivered about ten blocks in less than ten minutes! Overall it's not the best food you will ever have but it's good and very much worth it because of the price and the service. Try the chicken with broccoli, general tso's, sesame chicken, moo sho pork, and the green beans are always surprisingly good! Good place for classic Chinese!!

I have been getting takeout from Andy's, a couple of times month for over 10 years, I have never a bad experience. The food is very good and consistent. All the times I dined on premises the service was also good. The decor could be nicer but that's not a big deal. Price is a little high for Chinese but its a high rent area so thats the way it goes.

Had a great meal here today, and can highly recommend the beef with broccoli and the shrimp in garlic sauce. One of my dinner companions lives in Flushing where Asian food abounds, and said this meal was a 9.5, with 10 being the best. As one reviewer said ... "the staff was friendly, and the restaurant is cozy. The prices are reasonable." Located in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, it's a terrific value.

What has happened to Andy's, I agree they are known as having mediocre food at average prices. I went back recently to give them another try. My chicken wings tasted like dish water was not cleaned from the fry pot. Beef sticks also had a strange taste. Your neighbors really need you to pay attention to the food quality & flavor as we have many other choices in the heights.
