Highly Recommend
Had a great meal here today, and can highly recommend the beef with broccoli and the shrimp in garlic sauce. One of my dinner companions lives in Flushing where Asian food abounds, and said this meal was a 9.5, with 10 being the best. As one reviewer said ... "the staff was friendly, and the restaurant is cozy. The prices are reasonable." Located in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, it's a terrific value.

Shape up!
What has happened to Andy's, I agree they are known as having mediocre food at average prices. I went back recently to give them another try. My chicken wings tasted like dish water was not cleaned from the fry pot. Beef sticks also had a strange taste. Your neighbors really need you to pay attention to the food quality & flavor as we have many other choices in the heights.

Andy's Special rice is fantastic!
My go to Chinese Restraunt while I lived in Avalon Fort Green. Fresh, spicy, and not the least bit oily. Helpful service if you need suggestions. Eat in or get take out, both were fantastic. I always get their special Andy's rice.

Mediocre
Andy's has had a reputation in the 'hood for at least 20 years, as having medicore food at average prices and service without a smile. I went back recently to give them another shot. What a waste of time! The food was, again, medicore. And they wouldn't even give me a side of steamed broccoli at lunch. They insisted that it "had to be a lunch special," with all the extras. What a joke. See you never, Andy's.

Excellent food, very fast service
It can get very crowded during standard lunch hours. I went at 11:30am, was mostly empty. Ordered chicken/garlic sauce....it was very good. Very friendly, food came fast.

Love their lunch
I am sitting in Andy's as I type this, having lunch. I love their lunch menu and come here often for it. For me, it has been consistently fast, hot, fresh, and delicious, especially for the price. However... If a relationship with your server, on any level, is important to you, this is not your place. The wait staff looks like they absolutely hate being here (and hate us). They don't speak to you unless they must, and then it's a grunt at best. There is never a response to my 'hellos', 'thank yous', or 'have a nice days.' So if you want a great, inexpensive lunch, and you're not looking for a friendly face, eat at Andy's!
