The best Indian I've ever had on the UES!

Had the chicken tikka masala which was fantastic. The staff was friendly and attentive, our food arrived in mere minutes and for two people, the total bill was $35. I don't think you can do much better than that on the Upper East Side!! Would definitely go again.

I ordered a good old standby: chicken tikki masala. It was delicious!! Not heavy or oily like other places. The sauce was light, creamy, sweet, tangy. All the things it should be. The chicken was extremely tender. I'm really happy to have found Andaz. The UES is in desperate need of good Indian food. Can't wait to try more.

We had a shrimp dish and a vegetarian dumpling dish both in excellent sauces and cooked perfectly. The service was excellent and our water glasses never ran dry. We had garlic naan which was perfect.

How lucky we are to have this restaurant in our neighborhood. Amazing food. Try the stuffed jalapenos to start (hot) and get the mango chicken for a main course. Great bread, too. Their lunch buffet is the best, but I can't figure out why the chicken tikka masala is so much better at lunch than at dinner. It's very disappointing at dinner, in fact. I plan on trying everything they serve. It's the best Indian restaurant in NYC. No reason to go downtown anymore.
