Great UES Addition
As a big fan of Indian food, it's been rough for the 4 years I've lived on the UES. All of the neighborhood places have left me unsatisfied; including the place across the street which has been going steadily downhill for the last year. I've had delivery from here half dozen times and everything has been pretty good, quality food ingredients competently prepared with reliable delivery. Prices are a tad high, but still resonable for the neighborhood. Dishes are generally mild for my taste, but still very flavorful. It's not the best in the city, but finally the UES has a respectable Indian restaurant.

Super!
My bf and I were looking for a new Indian Restaurant on the Upper East and decided to give Andaz a try based on the reviews, it was fantastic! Best Indian food I have ever had. Healthy portions, very attentive and friendly wait staff, great tasting food and reasonable prices. This is our new Indian Foods go to and I would highly recommend it!!

Great all around
I had a mango lassi, an order of garlic naan, some soup, and lamb saag (spinach). Everything was great! The service was perfect and the atmosphere is really nice and relaxing. Great place for a date.

Superb!
Andaz was such a nice surprise! Amazing food and even more amazing staff. We were unsure of what to get so we asked for recommendations and they ended up being phenomenal meals. If into the vegetarian thing and are looking for something rather mild the "Vegetable Korma" was delicious. I will definitely go back, if not make it a weekly stop. I highly recommend Andaz!

I prefer Shamrat just across the street
Have ordered from the place right across the street from Andaz called Shamrat, but I thought I'd try something new. Wasn't that impressed. The chicken tikka masala was too creamy and didn't have much chicken. Overall, Shamrat is a much better choice, just doesn't have the atmosphere of Andaz.

Can't Go Wrong
I'm generally very skeptical of Indian restaurants in the city, but Andaz I love. Fantastic service, delicious food, great value and decent ambiance. The Kadai chicken is just like mom used to make. The staff and owner will do almost anything to please. Even better for take out because the quantity is more, they give free rice and desert, and sometimes throw in a surprise - I got free daal the other day which was YUM! Hits the spot every time.
