Servers were not able to explain the tapas, the manager was nowhere to be found. And the food was not well presented and late. Poor choice, will def not return to this restaurant in our neigborhood. Far from a tapas place.

I HAVE ALREADY TOLD MY UWS BUDDIES TO TRY THIS RESTAURANT OUT! I will even make the trip across town again for another meal here! The food & staff will NOT disappoint. Excellent tapas. Definitely try the patatas bravas and the albondigas- best meatballs I have had in awhile!, but go outside your comfort zone and order the Pulpo al a Gallega. Perfectly grilled octopus nestled under a pillow of potato puree. Also, try the Pate de Cabracho- scorpion fish flan! The flan was light and perfectly seasoned, but the it was the eggplant caviar that gave it that zing. The bartenders know their wine- they suggested a grenache that went with everything. I even sampled their spring cocktail, the Andanada, definitely wakes up the palate!! Can't wait to see what they come up with for Sunday brunch!

We went Andanada for date night. This is a nice place to graze because the portions of the tapas were really generous for the price. We loved the presentation of the potatoes bravas. The aioli was nice and garlicky and the texture of the olive powder was fun. Anytime I get to play with my food I'm happy! I was pleasantly surprised that the salsa brava had a bit of bite. Other things we loved was the roasted pumpkin salad with the Manchego and Spanish blue cheese although I would have toasted the walnuts. The beef carpaccio was delicious. It had my boyfriend's favorite things: cornichons, caper, olives and cheese scattered across it. Another hit was the gazpacho! It looked like a cocktail, but was only $4.00 so nice and refreshing -- the boyfriend loved it. The meatballs and the garlic shrimp were decent. I thought the pork croquettes with goat cheese béchamel needed some spark to tie them together like chili or tomato jam or rouille… The deconstructed rice pudding had these rice crisps that looked like clouds over the cinnamon ice cream and the pureed rice pudding. I loved the look of the dish and crunchy crisps and the ice cream. The pudding was not for me because I don't like pureed foods. Oh and the service was quite good too.

I loved my dinner experience. The setting is gorgeous and makes for "best romantic Spanish" in NYC. The food was the most elegant, modern Spanish offering I've experienced compared to downtown restaurants. Worth the splurge here, especially if trying to impress.

We adored Gastroarte and were surprised to see the change. Apparently the chef and decor have changed, but the restaurant is still similarly decorated - it is truly lovely inside - an pleasant escape from the city. That's where the positive comments end, unfortunately. Gastroarte was tapas - Andanada has tapas on the menu, but it's more entree based. We enjoyed the beeter gazpacho (unique and delicious) but it was the size of a shot glass. The calamari was tasteless and lacked texture - mushy! The monkfish was undercooked (gross) and unexceptional. The steak was truly awful - fatty and underseasoned. It was our mistake not to send anything back, but our waitress was very distracted throughout the entire meal so we had to flag her down to get anything. The entree portions are really small - other reviewers have called this restaurant expensive, and I agree. For the same price you can walk five minutes to Boulud Sud, etc. and have a far superior meal. I've dined in Spain and this restaurant certainly did not resemble excellent experiences I've had in that country... and $28 for an undercooked piece of monkfish that's the size of my palm doesn't fit the bill.

We heard about this restaurant, but we didn't expect what we found. Many Spanish restaurants in NY don't represent the current cuisine in Spain. However, Andanada 141 does. Food is very fresh and creative. It was delicious. We tried Patatas Bravas, Pulpo, Croquetas... We felt like being in Spain. This is a truly Spanish restaurant. Thanks!

I've been twice in one week I liked this place so much, and I think I've tried almost all of the small plates. The pulpo is fantastic: smoky, immersed in a potato puree with tiny chopped chives. Likewise the pumpkin salad -- greens, light dressing, yellow raisins for sweetness. The papas bravas are very good: roasted tiny eggshaped purple and gold potatoes in a bed of black olive "earth." You dip the potatoes in either a garlicky mayonnaise or a tomato ketchup, then roll them in the powdery olive. Yum. Good sausages and ham, and nice cheeses. The drinks are large, the wine choices are good. Better than its predecessor. I recommend sitting at the bar, particularly if you get the charming Spanish bartendress who gave me a glass of her homemade cava sangria on the house. We're going back tonight!
