    Poorest service in New York

Waited 50 minutes for food. Tried delivery next time, took 1.5 hours to deliver 5 blocks away. Avoid.

    Good Summer Rolls :)

their summer rolls were good but pho was quite disappointing really! so i'd recommend come by only for a snack, not full-on meals.

    Poor service

I wouldn't mind the small portions, higher prices, and long wait if the service was at least somewhat decent. Waiting a long time for our food to arrive, no one stopped to say how much longer it would take or apologize for the wait. Once we finished eating and asked one of the waitresses for the check, she looked at us in disbelief and didn't say anything in return. We couldn't figure out what her problem was. Once we got the check, we had to wait 10 more minutes for her to come back and she even had the nerve to ask us if we needed change. Couldn't understand how she could expect 20% for rude and indifferent service. Have been there several times, but this last time left me feeling really disappointed about the experience. Will NEVER go back-- but it's not like they will even care.

    Mediocre food at best

An Choi really doesn't care about the customer, and that's what gets me. Indifference from management regarding all of the shortcomings of the product-- the incredibly long wait, the chewy, fatty meat, the bland soup, cheap ingredients etc. should all be at least made up for by great service. They're not, and you can't even complain to someone who cares. A restaurant that takes the phone off the hook during operating hours on a more-than-once-weekly basis for hours at a time is disrespectful and doesn't deserve the space they're taking up. Another restaurant deserves this space- An Choi is completely wasting valuable retail property.

Need to get their act together

I work in the area and therefore have come here A LOT, as have my co-workers. Every time we come, however, we all leave frustrated and feeling like we never want to return. This place has been open for over a year now and it still acts like a brand new restaurant that can't get its footing. Food ALWAYS takes FOREVER. Wait staff are darling. Food is sometimes delicious but so outrageously inconsistent that its difficult to overlook all the other shortcomings. Taking all these annoyances into consideration makes it pretty hard to justify the prices.

    Chewy Pork Belly

I went there for dinner, ordered "what everyone's coming for" and got the 'ahem' "crispy" pork belly Banh Mi. The Bread was old and the pork belly was chewy. The taste was ok but no one like big chunks of pure fat in a sandwich. I know that pork belly has fat in it but if you prepare it right it's crispy and delicious. It's supposed to be better for lunch when the stuff is fresh. For dinner no thank you!
