Poor Customer Service
They never answer their phone. I work in the area and I never order from them because they are never around to answer their phones. They have four numbers listed on their menu and they don't answer any of them. Poor Customer Service is the worst thing for a restaurant to be known for.

Disappointing chicken
On one hand their fried rice is very good, but even then for the price you have to wonder. Is it really worth paying twice as much for food that isn't really that much better? The very expensive prices aren't the worst thing about this restaurant, I ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was basically just very hard impossible to chew and it was mostly just batter. The chicken was extremely dry. I would recommend their fried rice if you want that but do not order their chicken. Very, very unappetizing.

overrated
I've now tried Amy's 4 times, thinking to myself "I've gotta be missing something" after reading these stellar reviews. Although I have tried to convince myself otherwise, food here is just average. They do have a good number of veggie options, which I was really attracted to at first. But I've now had 4 of them and all have been mediocre. But in contrast with other reviewers, the price I find to be pretty cheap, and I'm not a fine diner or wealthy person. I guess I still have not gotten the hang of choosing NY restaurants.

This is my new standard for Chinese food.
This is by far the best takeout Chinese food I've ever had. The fried food somehow manages to make the trip without becoming soggy and the steamed dumplings stay light and delicate. The food at Amy's isn't greasy at all and if there is a sauce involved (which is usually the case with Chinese food) it doesn't overpower what it is on. I love this place and won't even consider other Chinese places in the neighborhood anymore

Very Good Chinese Food in Inwood
CerTainly the best Chinese food in inwood. Their delivery is a bit slow, but the food is always hot. Their vegetarian selections are excellent for all of NYC, not just Inwood. Their prices are a bit high - but only slightly. The ambiance of the restaurant is not great, so it is mainly take out for us...having saif that, the food is really - and I mean reallh - good.

Best Chinese in Inwood!
Yes the food is pricey and the wait is pretty long, but the food is always fresh, tasty, and less greasy than anything else I've tasted in Inwood. I'm willing to spend a little extra.
