    Best Red Velvet in NYC

Hands down, Amy's Breads has THE best tasting red velvet cupcakes in NYC. That's all that needs to be said!

So Good it's hard to stay away!

I love EVERYTHING at Amy's!! Frankly I'm shocked there aren't more reviews. I literally love everything about Amy's, especially what I call "the pink cake". Great soup, Carrot-Ginger (my fav), bread, cookies, coffee and tea. Their cupcakes certainly rival all those others. It really is hard when it's just 2 blks away!

    delish

The wait staff is very personable - In addition to super breads (love the Pumpernickel with currents, Onion Dill) their sandwiches are very fresh - Tuna, Cheddar Cheese w/ chipotle pepper puree, Hummus etc. are particularly good and not to mention the cakes - red velvet and chocolate devils food....Yikes !! Run don't walk !!

    Get in line

I doubt you will find better bread anywhere. I attended a baking class done by Amy and have many of her recipes in book form. Her breads are time consuming, but worth every minute. We stopped in before a show, got bread, drove people crazy in the theater and on bus back to 'burbs. Tiny place, but great for takeout if you get in mid-morning or afternnoon. Not much space for a liesurely lunch.

    Great Bread!

All is good, but I specially like their Red Velvet Cake. It is soft and moist. Not a good place to sip a cup of coffee as it's so tiny. But great to take out and enjoy at home~
