It was worth the trip up town. My friends and I were really pleased with the food. Smothered pork chops; ribs, fried chicken and of course mac and cheese. Also a plus manager Steve.

I had the fried honey glazed chicken mac and cheese and collard greens. The food was really good. If you want a "cool/trendy" atmosphere with so/so food go to the Shark Bar. If you want a "historic" atmosphere with subpar food go to Sylvia's. If you want a comfortable atmosphere with great food go to Amy Ruth's. MMMM yummy!

My daughter and I were going to the theater and someone suggested Amy Ruth's while we were in New York. We were lost trying to find resturant but when we did boy was it worth it. I had honey fried chicken, my duaghter had salmon croquettes everything was fresh and delicious. My favorite part of visiting Amy Ruth's was the Kool-Aid of the day. I thought that was great and the Ice Tea was to die for. I have bragged to everyone in California that Amy Ruth's is a true soul food resturant and strongly suggest anyone in the area or visiting the area to check it out.

A great family restaurant. I mostly enjoy the waitresses because they are friendly.

The first time I heard of Amy Ruth's and tasted their food, I thought it came out of my own kitchen. When I went to the restaurant on 12/3/06, I knew the cook wasn't the same person who made the food when I had it as a take-out. Whoever the cook was two months ago....bring him or her back. Also, go to Amy Ruth's and check out the waiter who looks a little like Jay Z.....my daughter thinks he's cute.

I grew up in Georgia and lived in Texas, so I know something about Southern Food. In addition, I've eaten eveywhere that you can think of - Pink Tea Cup, Maroon's, Londel's, Sylvia's, Shark Bar, Brother Jimmy's, Blue Smoke, etc. If you're looking for the best southen food in New York ... THIS IS IT! It's so good, I almost guarantee that you will make another trip the very next day after your first visit, just like I did.
