I was there for the holidays and went to The Den, i was so dissappointed that when my husband and I went to Amy Ruth's we expected the worst. Boy we're we wrong! When we got there we sat upstairs. I had the Catfish and waffles they were so good!! My husband had the chicken I ate some of his and it was so juicy! The service was excellent. If you don't get full you have a bottomless pit for a stomach! We liked it so much we went back three more times for different things. It was affordable and I recommend it to anyone. The wattress was tired but still attentive! She told us she had been there all day! Go hungry!

went recently, and had the ribs, mac and cheese, and yams and they were great. they stepped up their game in the mac and cheese dept. the ribs were very meaty, not bad. they give you 4. the highlight of my meal was singlehandedly the dessert. i had the pineapple coconut cake and was taken aback. it was GOOD. i mean slap yo mama good. a must have. it was moist, and the pineapple was fresh, along with the shreads of coconut that made it oh so poppin. although the owner, carl is no longer there, (he sold the resturant to a african american investment firm), so far nothin has deteriorated in any way. YAY.

I had the misfortune of being stuck in the city over the Thanks giving Holiday(Alone). I looked thru Menu Pages for a nice Home cooking type place to have lunch. I almost skiped Amy's because of a few of the bad reviews. When i got there the door man was a pleasure and the wait staff was more than attinive. I had the catfish and waffles with the mac & cheese for a sideportions were more than enough and flavor and freshness was Great. i will most definatly return and bring guest. Thanks Amy's for a memorable Thanks Giving. Mike C. West Monroe, LA

The first time we went the food and service was great. The second time we went is was all around horrible! One person has smothered turkey wings the size of chicken wings and two had the seafood platter. The crab cake was just a fired mess and the two srimps on the platter was just fired batter on very small shirmp. So bad we won't be coming back.

This was one of the best dining experiences in my life. The food surpassed my expectation of a soul food restaurant. The fried chicken, catfish, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes and the collard greens quickly took me back home to my grandmother's house on Sunday after church. The wait staff was great and catered to our every wish and it was truly worth the price. I wish they had a little more space and I anticipate an expansion in the near future as the place was packed.

The decor in this place is nothing to speak of, and you do have to wait outside. Service was decent and I think the prices are very reasonable. The food was very good. I had the fried chicken wings & waffles, not greasy, very tasty waffles. Ribs and honey chicken were a hit, but the sides were not the best. Fries were soggy. All in all, would recommend and I would go back.
