    Inconsistent at best

I've eaten here before, and the food and service has been okay however I found that the bartenders downstairs have been anywhere from mildly polite to downright rude. There are better places in the area.

    Great place but no people!

I love this place- great food, awesome cocktails, and an amazing atmosphere. One problem though- every time I go, there is never any people there. I've been many times, many different hours of the night and the most people I have ever seen at the bar is probably three, but usually my boyfriend and I are the only people there. Great if you like low-key places with privacy, but I prefer a place not so dead to hang out at!

    One strike you're out

My guest and I had two completely different experiences at this restaurant/lounge. On our first visit we happily ate tapas which were tasty and had drinks which were good. The service was fine. On our second visit we just stopped by for a couple of drinks on a Friday evening, which we abruptly ended after the first one. While the bar staff was excellent, the manager had failed to prepare his hostess and bar tenders for the impending private party, beginning some time between 9:00 and 10:00 PM. So when we arrived we were told by the hostess to sit only at the bar. At the bar they said" Sit anywhere, the party hasn't begun." After settling into our seats with our drinks the hostess had us move. Then the manager came over and informed us that we could only stay in our current seats until 9:45. In other words nobody working there was delivering the same message to its customers. Then we witnessed others not in the party sitting where ever they wanted and not being given a cutoff time. No drink or tapa is worth this kind of hassle! Despite liking the interior and location, I do not plan to return to an establishment that has poor management, inconsistent communication and who knows what else going on behind closed doors. I can't recommend this place to anyone because you don't know what kind of service (if you can call it that) you'll get!

    Not so good

My steak was so tough (I ordered medium) that I had to literally saw through it. When I finally was able to cut myself a piece it was all fat and the whole steak (every bite) tasted greasy. This place is not recommended!

    Impressive!

Amsterdam surprised me!...This was my first visit, but it stood out as one of the best dining experiences I've had in this area. The space was really warm and inviting, the staff were friendly & courteous and best of all the food and drinks were amazing! I'll definitely plan a few trips back.

    Great

When we walked by it looked to be an expensive place but we decided to go in. I am so happy we did. Food was great and they serve it on these really cool tower things. Waiters were all attractive and friendly. The Manager seemed to really care what we thought about the food. I didnt even realize they had another room till we heard the music coming from downstairs. I took a look and they also had a funky lunge. Hip tables, cool ambience and another cool bar. I loved it! Going back next thursday.

    Pizza Marghafoccacia?

My girlfriend and I went out for a late(r) dinner and decided a small pizza would satisfy our nocturnal cravings so we ordered the pizza margherita and a few glasses of wine. Figuring the wine would compliment the red sauce of the pizza, we were greatly disappointed when the pizza arrived with essential no tomato sauce, a scant layer of cheese that mysteriously had no discernible taste and a crust that appeared to be left over foccacia bread from yesterday's lunch. Thankfully, our wine servings were generous enough to dull our disappointment, but I highly recommend you do not order the $9 foccacia as a late night snack. I'm sure their other menu selections are fine. Too bad I will not be returning to find out.
