i don't eat pizza from anywhere else
my husband loves pizza and i don't. so when we moved to the neighborhood a few years ago and tried amorina, we were so excited that we finally found a middle ground. i realized that i didn't like american style pizza. amorina's thin crust pizza is perfect for my taste. i've tried all the desserts they offer. my favorite is flourless chocolate cake! although i haven't had a chance to visit italy, i believe this is very italian since the owner is italian. just a caveat, if you are looking for a nice quiet dinner, don't go there for early (6pm-8pm) dinner on weekends. you will be surrounded by toddlers, strollers and cries. but if you are one of them, it should be pretty comfortable for you. they are very kids friendly. sometimes their high chairs run out.

I dont know about the pizza
but, I ordered the pasta once. If you want to relive your childhood and have something that I can only describe as spaghetti with ketchup, then this is the place to go! It was horrible. My girlfriend ordered the pizza, I didnt try any, but she said it was a miserable disappointment as well. we havent tried them again. We didnt think they deserved a second chance.

good thin crust pizza
The reason to go here is because it is a rustic, friendly place that makes really good thin crust pizza, with unusual combinations of toppings that somehow work. The salads are fresh and inventive too, and the wine is affordable and more than drinkable.

Don't order delivery if you are hungry
Food is great. Delivery is slow. I have been put on hold...left to listen to the staff talking for 10 minutes. Great place if you eat in.

The Place I Love to Hate . . .
Freakin' Amorina, man. . . Delivery is never under an hour and the pasta is consistently mediocre and overpriced. And yet. . . I order. Just did ten minutes ago. Why? The pizza. Delish. The Diavolo and the one with the artichokes especially. My bf also loves the arugala salad. Do not be swayed, however, but the $12 ziti or the "specials." Stick with the pizza and find yourself a snack in the mean time. The only time we ate in the place was strollerland, which is cool if that's your thing.

excellent thin crusted pizza
Been there twice in the span of a week, because of suggestions from different friends. The pizza was excellent, especially in my opinion the prosciutto e fichi (prosciutto with figs). Their wine is variable, your best bet is to go for something you recognize on the menu (I suggest an Orvieto for white, the Rosso di Sicilia for red). Take a stroll down Vanderbilt too, there are other places worth checking out.
