My new favorite
I work in a clinic nearbay and I have to say that I tried my goood share of places for lunch. Recently I went to Amor Cubano they have a Lunch Special for $14.95, that may seem a little pricy at first but they give you soup or salad, entree and soda or coffee, I will be back, I loved it and it was so filling I even had enough left over to take a doggie bag!

Overpriced
We ordered delivery which took almost an hour when they are literally a block away. We got the Chicken Fricasee which came with one chicken leg and half a thigh for $15, total rip off. Then we got the churrasco for $17 which we asked for medium rare and got charred. Not worth it for cold food an hour late.

Excellent food and great ambiance
Absolutely loved this place. The food was incredible!! The band was amazing!!! My party was of 10 people; and we all had different things from the menu from the skirt steak to the fish and it was all delicious. The drinks were excellent in my opinion. Overall give it an excellent review.

A home away from home
I have become a regular at Amor Cubano, the staff, the atmosphere and the excellent food make me want to come back again and again. The band is awesom, they have everybody going. When you go I recommend you try the Vaca Frita a Cuban classic they make to perfection.

Definitely a come back!
A native spanish harlem resident, never took the time to check out this place, but thanks to my cousin who unexpectedly picked me up for lunch, invited me to Amor Cubano and I truly fell in love with the place. Although there was not too many people there, being that it was only 1:30pm, I can only imagine what it would be like in the evening. The service was pleasant, the music was great and the food was extremely appetizing and they do have live bands! I specifically like the garden comfortably hidden in the back of the restaurant, it gave me the feel of the tropics. For a minute I forgot where I was! Thinking I was running late back to work from, I had to call in and say I that I got caught up running errands and would be late. Actually I got caught up with the Mojitos!! BTW, I did make it back to work, feeling fabulicious!!!

mediocre
We went last night and though the experience wasn't bad we would not go again. We ordered the shrimp appetizer for $8 and it came with four shrimp. We thought that was a little stingy but we were willing to go with it if they were great shrimp but they weren't. The sauce over them was delicious but the shrimp themselves were tasteless and rubbery. The quality tasted like the same quality as Associated Food shrimp. The Yuca appetizer was delicious though. The other dishes we ordered were good and so was the service. The place itself was so dark we could barely read the menus and the music was so loud I could barely hear the other two people at my table talking. Also, the live music was mediorce. We ended up spending $118 and feeling like it wasn't money well spent.
