Amma a great experience
I have a Haitian culture i am use to my type food . I tried Indian food 1 time before my experience at Amma and loved it. Amma was very pleasant a comfortable atmosphere, the service was great, and the food and dessert Even better. I ate until I was stuffed. I would recommend it to anyone. Especially someone from another culture as I am, because this will be a satisfying experience for a first timer.

Amazing lamb dishes!
I grew up in Edison, NJ.. so I've had lots of great Indian food. But Amma takes it to a whole new level! The grilled lamb chops and apricot stuffed lamb are both absolutely AMAZING. And at a great price!

Exquisite!
My girlfriend and I decided to try Amma out on a Friday night after hearing only good things. It most certainly lived up to the hype. The dishes were all extremely exquisite and rich in flavor. The only turnoff was that upon ordering wine we got carded and we definitely don't look underage. Regardless, who cards at a fancy restaurant?! But overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and we will surely return.

Excellent Food!!
We flew out from California and were looking for an Indian restaurant. We came across Amma and were very pleased. The food was great and so was the service. A little pricey for the portion size, but you won't remember the bill after you're done. The Crispy Okra was probably the best okra dish we had ever tasted!

Great Indian food
This is the second time that I have eaten at "Amma" and I have to say that it is excellent. I highly recommend the Saag with Paneer, as well as the Gobi Manchurian. The staff was nice, and the atmosphere was great.

Best Indian in the City
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It is a great date place as well as a great place to go with family and friends. The food was out of this world! You have to try the tasting menu. The food was spectacular! Especially the shrimp.

Loved it!
We ate lunch here on a recent trip to New York City. The food was excellent! The service was great - waiter kept on top of when we needed water, etc, without being intrusive. As another reviewer said, we did spend a while here - about and hour and a half for lunch - so go if you have the time to appreciate the food and decor! Food was reasonably priced but drinks were expensive - although drinks seem to be more expensive in this city all around. I would absolutely recommend this place - we went a little out of our way to eat here and it was SO worth it.
