My favorite Indian in the City
My husband and I had the two course lunch special for $11.95, which came with dal and naan. I ordered the chicken tikka. It was the best I've ever had and I've had a lot of Indian food. The chicken was very tender and very flavorful. My husband had the chicken tikka masala and it was delicious. The masala sauce was not greasy and very flavorful. I love this restaurant and highly recommend it!

Take Out Dissapointment
I've eaten at a lot of indian restaraunts in the midtown east side and i was very dissapointed with the taste and quality of their dishes. i had two vegetarian dishes and a samosa all of which were lacking. im not going to order out from this place again.

A nice find
What a pleasant little surprise in midtown east. The dinner prices may be expensive, but the lunch deals are fantastic - an appetizer and main meal for 12 bucks! The apricot stuffed lamb is truly wonderful. A lovely change from most other indian restaurants.

whatever indian, pricey and loud
came here for restaurant week. noisy! didn't love the decor. service was sloooow. food ok, for straight indian much better available for much cheaper. din't see much fusion going on. did wine pairing with prix fixe which although portions generous ,wine quality was very poor. would not come here again just would go to a really good indian

too pricey for the food and ambience
We went for dinner to Amma(family of four) and found that neither the food nor the service justify the price. The place is so cramped, the waiters do not even have place to come aroud the table to serve you and stratech their hands so you then have to help the yourself. The food is fine but not spectacular. The waiter tried to push the fixed price menu on us... and then insisted that if one person ordered the fixed menu everyone at the table had to do the same. We are unlikely to go back soon...there are plenty of other good indian restaurants to try first.

Fantastic!
I've been to Amma a few times, and the food is delicious! We went for Restaurant Week, and they gave us $25 gift certificates, which we'll definitely be using. Try the kararee bhindi and mango cheesecake, they're my favorites!
