    Great food and personable service!

I work in the neighborhood and there are few affordable tasty options, but Amir's comes out on top. They recently did a renovation and added lots of new menu items like salad bowls and more wraps. As a vegan with food allergies, I love that I can get a customized sandwich at the same good price versus some of the other falafel competitors in the area. Try the grape leaves, falafel, pinto beans, fresh tomatoes, and more!

    Great & getting better

Amir's just updated its menu, reduced the prices, and repainted the dining area and inviting bright green. All the changes are great! Have been eating there at least once a week for 28 years and am pleased to say it just keeps getting better!

    Average Falafel

Good for a quick grab-and-go lunch... their falafel sandwich is okay; not the best but definitely not the worst either. If you're in the neighborhood and have a craving, go for it

    not very good

ordered a beef shawarma today. paid $7 only to see them put the beef in the microwave. not surprisingly, it had no moisture afterward. amir's: please at least grill the meat if you're going to charge as much as you do.

    A Horrible Surprise

I grew up in the Middle East, and while I wasn't expecting this place to be as tasty as my past middle eastern meals, I also wasn't expecting anything this bad. Not only does the food completely miss the mark of authentic middle eastern cuisine, it is also a complete waste of money. The pita wrap I ordered had a tiny amount of meat and enough lettuce to feed a third world country. The fries were greasy and soggy with oil. Even the "tahini" sauce they claim to put into the wrap tasted like a bland, watered down version of the real thing.

    Disappointing

Really sub par food. The falafel, which should be a staple in any Mediterranean place, was tasteless and bland. I also ordered a spinach pie and received a hard crusted flour cake with layers of tasteless spinach. It is a pity this place has gone so downhill. I used to be a regular customer but won't be coming back any time soon.
