some of the worst indian food I've had
There was no problem with Service or Atmosphere. But the food is not good at all. I've ordered Malai Koftha and Naan. Malai Koftha was bland it was missing salt. The taste was no way close to what one would have. The naans were soggy and not well cooked. On the whole if one goes to this restaurant, then one would never eat Indian food. In short this is not Indian Cusine

Much better than it used to be
We just ordered takeout, and noticed that the food is much better than it used to be. My shrimp saag was amazing. Tasted homemade and fresh. My tandoori chicken was great too, and my aloo motor gobi was also very fresh and tasty. Very good.

Good standby
Okay. so it's not gourmet. But in a pinch it is ok and the service is usually efficient and quite friendly.

not nearly as bad as reviews
We just got take out from Amin, reluctantly, as the reviews here were not good and nobody picked up the phone at the place we like on Atlantic. We actually thought the food was pretty good. The poori was so so, but both the Saag Ponir and the chicken Tikka Masala were very good (we realize that we were ordering some pretty basic Indian food). We'd definitely get take out again.

This is not Indian Food!
This was far far away from Indian Food. The gravy (curry) in all the dishes were sweet. No spice or kick to it. VERY bland. I had Chicken Tikka masala, paneer makhani, and an assortment of breads. All was the worst of my experiences!

not horrible, but not great
the previous review is correct...this place is not the best indian food we've ever eaten, but it is in the neighborhood and has consistent delivery...and sometimes the food can be quite good...can't say that for most places in the heights!

Not so bad for Brooklyn
Let's face it. great Indian in Brooklyn is impossible to find. With Curry Leaf turned into some weird mix of American lunch cafe and Indian restaurant, Amin is all we got in the Heights. It's not so bad. Not great for sure. But not so horrible as the previous reviews. We order in regularly and they're dependable.
