ordered for delivery from here and didn't have any problems. was hesitant after reading the reviews, but the food was fine (nothing spectacular but decent).

I ordered several dishes for delivery and found the food flavorless and lacking spice. I don't even like my food too spicy, but this was not even spicy enough for this mild palette. Skip it.

It is said tha the best Indian food is in London. When I was on the other side of the pond in 2007 I found it to be so. My nephew's girlfriend was in from London we met up and had a meal here. When she is town next month she wants to return to Amin. The food is great, take out VG as well as a matter of fact I am calling in an order as I type. Worth it!

Like one of the other reviews, I normally don't write reviews, but was also compelled to. The food was ok, but what I was disturbed by was the waiter. His demeener was quite rough and he kind of barked at me when talking to me. Additionally, he hardly looked at me when talking to me. It was quite disturbing. During my meal one of the other waiters came over to server and refill water. He was a bit better, but would not say very friendly. I felt really weird after dealing with them and just ate my food as fast as possible so I could get out of there. Once again, a disturbing experience. Food was ok, though, to be fair, but just ok. Won't ever go back there. How do restaurants, which is a service business, stay in business with help that have the personalities of a handball? Go figure.

I ordered the shrimp biriyani, samosas and gulab jamun for a delivery. I was angry as soon as I opened the bag. There were no utensils. The samosas tasted good but the rest was not good at all. There were only 2 pieces of shrimp in the biriyani. The gulab jamun was only a lump of dough in syrup. Never again.

Let me preface this by saying that I never, ever go online to complain. In fact, this is my first MenuPages review. However, Amin's food and service were so bad, I felt the need to say something. First off, it took more than an hour for my food to get to my house, which is not terribly far from the restaurant. The saag ponir and samosas I ordered were the worst I have had anywhere. The saag ponir seemed to just be a container of creamed spinach. Despite it being my favorite dish, Amin's version was so bad and sugary that I had to throw it out. The samosas were simply not cooked and were soggy and doughy. Save yourself the hassle and order from ANYWHERE else.

My family and I order delivery from Amin quite frequently. The food is amazing every time. I've eaten Indian food in places all over the city and I have yet to have food as great as Amin's. Additionally, the service is fantastic. The service is always friendly and frequently gives us desserts or breads compliments of the house. This restaurant is a hidden gem within Park Slope.
