love it
Two words: BREAD BOWL. Amecis manages to offer an incredible selection of food, at an affordable price--- but it blows its deli friends out of the water because of the BREAD BOWL. They offer a community bowl where a man throws hot bread into it every few minutes. People flock to this self-serve bowl, and you might even get an elbow to the face if there are only a few pieces left. It is actually an unsanitary process--- but the fact that you are eating bread touched by the rest of NYC is quickly forgotten about when you indulge in the hot, not fully cooked, amazing, raw dough.-- Now offered in Whole Wheat.

Bustling deli perfect for grab and go
As many of us who work in midtown west know, a good deli with ample selection is hard to come by, especially for new yorkers who know good. Amici is the best bang for your buck below 57th. The place serves everything but the grilled veggies are the best (therefore gone by 1pm). While its serve yourself and the cashiers act as if you should have calculated the cost by weight before you got to the register, it is an amazing little deli with yummy food and not too shabby prices especially compared to similar deli's in the area with half the selection. So if you're looking for a quiet lunch with a lil ambiance look elsewhere but if you love a grab and go or sit and quickly eat place then try this spectacular deli, the best for a good 10 blocks.
