Amber

I went to Amber on a Friday night and it was packed. People were waiting for over 45 minutes just to be seated. I normally eat at Tenzan right around the corner (which is excellent) but I decided to try somewhere new. Amber has a great atmosphere. It's sort of small and crowded, but the music is good and the service is excellent. We ordered a few appetizers which were brought to us super fast and tasted delicious. The pad thai is pretty good and the sushi is fresh. The roll selection is varied and appealing. My one mistake was that I ordered some rolls with brown rice. I often order brown rice as my rice on my sushi rolls but for some reason the brown rice here didn't taste too good and ruined the taste of the rolls. Otherwise, the rolls would have been quite tasty. My boyfriend loved his sushi. I would definitely recommend trying this place out at least once. The prices are fairly reasonable, the staff is very accommodating, and the food is above average.

Fabulous new restaurant- wonderful asian ceviche, tartare, and sashimi. Food presentation was beautiful, and mixed drinks were great (try the lychee saketini or Green Tea margarita) Great atmosphere, decor, and terrific attentive service. An instant hit- the place was absolutely packed Saturday night.

Stopped by here for dinner a couple times and I must say this is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. The sashimi was fresh, the place was after all a week old, and my salmon ceviche was delicious. Will be back.
