The fish is always fresh, cooked dishes also wonderful. Lunch special is a great value.

I've had Amber twice already and it's only been one week. The first time i went there and the atmosphere is very hip. The food is delicious and the fish is top notch. The second time, I ordered in and the food came within 10 minutes. The fastest delivery I've ever had. Looks like I found my sushi place! Two Thumbs Up!

I adore Amber for a quick take-out lunch or a sit down meal. The staff is always very nice and attentive and the food comes quickly. Take-out is a breeze -- I love the way they package everything. No spills or messes ever. I haven't ever ordered for dinner but I definitely will try soon.

I just had take out from Ambers. The food was great. A little pricy but some of the best sushi take out I have ever had in NYC. I had the Lemon Grass Soup, Triple Toro roll and the Angry Lobster roll. All was wonderful. The take out supplies where the best I have ever been supplied with by ANY restaurant. WIll do again.

Lunch special is the best deal in town, served elegantly on fancy plates like a $100 meal. The food is great, the portions are more than enough, little touches here and there with sauces. Nothing like you average greasy Chinese food. Dinner atmosphere is more like a lounge, so that's a winner.

Dining out is one of those things that's dictated by my mood as much the food. So a happy day for me means I can let subpar food go. But Amber was a notable exception. Service was so slow. The chairs were kind of uncomfortable for so long a wait. And there were eggshell bits in my pad thai which seems like the strongest sign of a lazy kitchen. Plus, it's just plain icky to feel shell grind into your teeth when the most crunch you're expecting is the sprouts.

The service took three hours and the food was subpar. Everyone is obnoxious. The food was old and expensive. Do not order the hamachi, it tastes like salami. Do not order the salmon, it tastes like old milk. Please do not go there. They hate atheists, please beware!
