Naomi brings a personal neighborhood feel
The food is getting closer to the quality of Aja. I turned my office onto the take out lunch. although $11.00 is high for a daily lunch, i will say the tempura was beautifully package with a generous amount of soup and entree. The service is excellent. Naomi was the previous bartender and keeps a sharp eye out for the comfort of her customers. Highly professional she makes a point of knowing everyone by name, which is a quality West villagers admire and the kind of graciousness that makes for a neighborhood haunt where people will return again and again, and look for, what becomes, familiar faces. If you sit at the bar and enjoy the food as you enjoy a cocktail, it is a pleasure. The dining room is pleasant. The hostess always catches you as you enter with a smile. The choice of music is not always as calming as Aja. With enough hints in the right direction, that could change. Well worth stopping by. Make a point of letting Naomi know you are coming with a friend and she always trys to find room to put friends together.

I miss Aja, but like Amber
Giant buddha statue and koi fish floating out front. The waiters and waitresses I have had are very attentive and accommodating. Except, they have been trained to stand in one spot surveying the area to see if anyone needs anything, and when you're the only person in the re restaurant and five people are staring at you eat, it's awkward. The food is fantastic. The rolls are on the bigger side. For starters: Veggie Mini Rolls with thai sweet chili sauce are amazing. Crispy calamari rings are fantastic- not dripping with grease, nicely spiced, and crunchy. Filet mignon wrap was spicier than expected, but delicious. From the sushi starter menu, the saigon spicy tuna wrap was good. The Sashimi Q Wraps were okay. The Oyster Shooter, better than I thought it would be! The tuna lover tasting = amazing. The sangria duck entree knocked me off my feet. So good. The pad thai was okay... not amazing but not bad. The kamikaze roll, the salmon cucumber, the tuna cucumber, the philly, the dragon's bride, salmon tuna rollover, and perfect match were all good. The shrimp tempura were great. The green tea margarita was fantastic. The saketini was made strong, but the cucumber was annoying so I couldn't really drink the drink without choking on cucumber. The flirtini was an amazingly good girl-drink. The troublemaker or the drink that has mischief in its name, was also pretty good. ... And yes, that's with three visits and one delivery (quick!) I have their menu in my purse with stars next to the food I've tried. I have gone there for a birthday dinner and after work drinks and it's worked out well. The only issue is, if you go late-r the music and people get loud.
