    Tardy!

we just came from this restaurant and had to take our supposed lunches to go. why? their service was very substandard and incoordinated. our time was utterly wasted waiting for the food to come (we were waiting for more than 50 minutes for lunch special menu dishes!), then 2 of our oders arrive 5 minutes before our lunch break ends and they expect us to continue waiting for the rest of our order. consequently we had to go but still end up paying for our order and a service charge!

    disappointing

I had heard excellent things about Amber. People told me they were ordering from there every night because it's so delicious. I love a new sushi spot, so I ordered lunch from there last week. I ordered a sushi special that included 2 pieces each of tuna, yellowtail and salmon and a spicy salmon crunch roll. Then I got sorbet for dessert. Well, to start they called and said they had no sorbet. Ok no biggie - how about green tea mochi? 10 minutes later they called again to say they had no green tea mochi, only red bean. So I got that. The delivery was fairly quick, I will give them that. I tried the spicy salmon roll and it had the poorest texture and after taste. These are items I normally love from other places, not something new I was trying. Finally, I went to try to mochi and it was hard as a rock. I was so very disappointed in the entire thing.

    too much!

i love this place but the only problem i have with amber is its a little bit expensive. cause i mean 15 dollars for a roll with salmon and mango is pricey to me if you like good food go here but be prepared to spend some cash. this place is spectacular and i am not trying to say anything bad about it but its too much for me to spend.

    pretty awesome

I really liked this place. I went there for lunch and i got the tuna and salmon sushi. It was very tender and yummy and it had a very hip atmosphere.

    Great

I just went here for the first time last night, looking for Thai in the neighorhood that I hadn't tried yet. We started with the crispy calamari, which were excellent, and the Vietnamese summer rolls, which were basic but still very good. My Thai red curry with chicken was great as was the tangerine chicken. The atmosphere and service were top notch and I will definitely be returning.

Firstly, I went here cause I had a restaurant.com gift certificate and they refused to accept it, why do they still have their name on the website it they dont!!!! The rice as someone said earlier was dry, the sushi i had spicy tuna and avocado were overprices, the sushi was not that great, avocado was ok I will not go back here again, as the customer service was sub-par

    Dry Rice

Ordered a few rolls with brown rice (and i know they say that brown rice doesn't stick as well) but the rice just completely fell off. The rice was extremely dry and when I asked the waiter if this was normal he told me that it's a different type of grain? Who knows, but I've had better.
