Great Thai food for cheap! BYOB makes this place a great cheap night out. Watch out for the spicy meals, even if you love spicy food, order the medium. They are serious about their spice!!

No where else is the green papaya salad so spicy, sour and sweet without being greasy. The bean curds with basil is great as is the vegetarian duck entree which is not even on the menu but is always available even for delivery. Veggie duck salad also fab, as is the red curry. Also it's the only Thai restaurant I've heard of that offers "Thai Lemonade" they don't always have it but if they do get it. It's super sour limey tasting ade which they've said to me even has a touch of salt.

The best thai food in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area. Full of flavor and punch of spices, fresh ingredients (no rubbery squid or crunchless veggies). The fare is priced well. Only downside is the long delivery wait because the place is so busy! But the food always arrives perfect and delicious.

My boyfriend and I order from this place about once a week. They're super nice and even more reliable it typically takes about 25 minutes for the food to arrive. The pad thai is a little bit greasy for my taste (then again, pad thai everywhere tends to be a bit greasy) but my boyfriend loves it. I recommend Bean Curd with Basildelicious! and Vegetable Curry, which is pure spicy coconutty red curry goodness.

The food is no frills thai food. Its not as spicy as most thai food usually is, but if you ask for 'spicy', watch out!! I like that its a family business and they try to vibe with the Willy'B crowd by hanging art from local artist. For me, its the best thai place in Greenpoint. Very friendly and not pretentious.

I have been in NYC for almost 8 years and eaten at Jaya, Pongsri downtown (still consistent), Sea, the fusion places, etc etc. To me this may be the best, most authentic thai food for the price. You may be able to get a more 'refined' thai food experience somewhere else but for my money Amarin is amazing. Nuance of taste for a small, family run place. Waaaayyy better then Sea, which is watered down thai food. Lets put it this wat, I have ordered the same thing for lunch and dinner on the same day. And its BYOB.
