So good
Almost all Thai food comes in two categories: "good" and "so good." Amarin is fresh, tasty, well prepared, and reasonable. When in GP, don't mess around; this is the best take out/delivery in our town.

The original
I've been eating at Amarin Cafe since the 90's. The first Thai place to open in Greenpoint - that I know of - and still the best.

Have to know what to get
Appetizers suck big time, but noodles are awesome, have to know what dishes to get, not all of them are good.

Consistently great for years and years
I have ordered from Amarin since @ 10 years and their food is consistently delicious. Not too complicated which I like!!! Green Papaya salad IS best in town.

Fresh tasting Thai
People who diss the papaya salad are wrong. It's my favorite papaya salad anywhere. It's very sour, medium heat and not oily like so many across the city. The food here is less complicated but always fresh and good tasting. This is the nicest staff of any place in the 5 boroughs. Also they've been in the nabe forever, unlike chains.

Disappointed
Just ordered pad se ew with tofu and the noodles are overcooked/mushy and they use regular broccoli not chinese broccoli and not much of it. Will not be ordering from again. Will go back to Ott. The people are nice though.
