Just ordered from these guys for the first time - meatball pie and stromboli. The stromboli was burnt on the bottom, stuck to the aluminum foil it was wrapped in, and raw on the inside. Next.... The pie was undercooked and swimming in greasy cheese. So badly prepared that it was impossible to lift a slice without 1) the topping sliding completely off; 2) the remaining bread breaking apart on its own. If you live in NYC, you know that delivered food is often problematic, and that NY's reputation for great pizza is somewhat overblown. Well, I've been living in NYC for 12 years. I've had some really deliveries, and some bad pizza. And this was, hands down, the WORST pie I've ever seen. For someone to charge for food this bad is straight robbery. Do yourself a favor, and don't order from these theives. You'll just be ordered a replacement dinner from someone else, or (like me) making a sandwich.

We stopped in Rays based on the food network review! We had some meat stromboli! Best EVER! We may just have it shipped to us someday for a little reminder of our tour of NYC! If you live there..........stop by for some Stromboli and tell them that the Blume's from Ohio sent you!

I've lived in the area for 2 years now. I have ordered countless times from Rays, but there are many things that new customers should watch out for. First of all, they don't return your full change when you order in person. They cut you off by 3-5 cents, which isn't a big deal, but I think its horrendous that they simply shave off the top of most of their orders, especially at night. Late night delivery boys have misquoted me twice in an attempt to charge me an extra 9 dollars. Their food is decent, but not better than anything else in the area. If you order from Rays, just pay attention or they'll steal from right under your nose.

three of us ordered the "Ray's Special" pie - basically a pizza with everything on it. We were all starving so super excited but after one or two bites we were all asking "what the hell?!" long story short, the dough underneath the mountain of average quality toppings was uncooked and mushy, completely throwing the entire taste of the pizza off - get a little flour, mix it with water, give a taste and you'll know what i mean. So we sent it back (after some arguing with the manager) and got a new one, which was only sightly better. If you are going to heap a bunch of toppings on a pie, you have to precook the dough with no toppings! I am sure they do a fine regular pie or pepperoni, just STEER CLEAR OF THE RAY'S SPECIAL!!

Today for lunch I stopped in and had a slice of Pepperoni pizza...it was great! A bit greasy but it was the best slice of pizza I've had! I ordered delivery from my hotel tonight, I had the meatball hero....oh my god! First of all, it's HUGE! And amazingly delicious! I'd eat it every day if I could! Delivery was fast and it's cheap!! A++

This is a great supplier of your order-in food be it pizza, burgers or other food. Always good (not spectaclar), fast delivery and you can't beat the price.

This branch of Ray's has some of the best combo deals in the city- you just cant go wrong with the philly cheesesteak combo, or chicken fingers combo. The salads are amazing. I tried the chicken wings on a whim and they turned out great too! A+++ I rarely ever order the pizza bc I'm too addicted to the other great stuff they have. Service is spotty sometimes, I usually order delivery and it can take anywhere from under ten minutes to over an hour. I just cross my fingers and hope for the best. Atmosphere for eat-in not good though. Overall, it's definitely great food with great bang for your buck.
