Can't wait to go back
We came here on a recent Friday evening to find excellent food, good service, great wine all in a very cozy & inviting atmosphere. Every plate we chose was delicious and so reasonable. Highly recommended.

Delicious and fun for a group
4 of us dined at Alta on Thursday night. Our table was ready promptly on time, and half the fun of the meal was deciding what we would order from the extensive and creative menu. Among the delicious selections we enjoyed were lamb meatballs, chorizo-wrapped gulf shrimp, tuna tartare, and gnocchi. Everything was wonderful and we look forward to dining at Alta again!

Great Place for a Get Together
bring your friends! this place is awesome. Great tapas, such a fun cozy atmosphere. Philadelphia surprise and their special brussel sprouts are to die for.

Alta rocks!
i have been to alta many times and I am pretty sure that each time I go it is better than the last. I went recently with a couple of friends who have never been and we were all blown away. the food is so creative and so unique that the conversation around the dinner table was more about which food was better. it turned out the everything they brought out was better than the next. the wine selection is also really good with a Very large variety. I would reccomend to anyone going there to get the Philadelphia truffle surprise, the Coca and the cauliflower. this is definitely a great place with a cool vibe and great food. Enjoy!

Snooty service but great food and vibe
Love the food, but we had a rather aloof watier. One of our tapa didn't come out, and when we asked for it, we got it way too late. On top of that , they charged us twice. But, besides this one glitch (it was a busy night I guess), the food and drinks were amazing. The tapas are creative and inventive. They have unusual and exciting tapas. I went in a big group, and the vegetarians enjoyed their selections as well.

Excellent Tapas and Superb Atmosphere
I don't understand any of the negative reviews. This place has some of the tastiest tapas I have ever had. Just the thought of them makes my mouth water. And it is a truly beautiful low key spot. It's tucked away on a side street and you could walk by 1000 times before realizing what's inside. A Great spot for a romantic date.

Subpar Experience - Twice
I went to Alta a few years ago with a group of friends. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, and each dish that came out was worse than the one before it. None of us are picky eaters and we always try new places, so it's pretty hard for a restaraunt to disappoint some of us, much less ALL of us. But Alta succeeded. I was "forced" to go back to Alta a few months ago for a coworker's birthday. I went in with an open mind but was again let down. Not only was the food as subpar as the first time, but the service took a nosedive. Our waiter was incredibly rude and condescending. I will never go back to Alta!
