    Great price, fast service

I usually go to Al's for breakfast, they have a special for $1.99, sausage egg and cheese on an English muffin. Very fast and friendly service. There lunch specials are a great value as well. The salmon with yellow rice and green beans is a favorite. Very nice place at a great location.

$9 slab of cream cheese (Lox MIA)

I ordered the smoked Nova on a bagel today. First, they were out of bagels, so i got a roll. The tomato was there, barely any onions or lox but 2 slabs of cream cheese which i couldn't scrap off. It was awful and i'll never order from here again.

    Disappointing Experience

My co-workers and I ordered 3 sandwiches for lunch delivery. Not only did It take 1hr and 15mins for our food to get to us because the delivery person couldn't find our address (which is clearly marked w/ a large awning and #'s) and then our order was wrong. My co-worker's sandwich which was supposed to have chicken, was missing the chicken. And my sandwich that was supposed to come w/ spicy curly fries (according to the menu) came with regular fries. After calling to complain, the man I talked to said that they don't have curly fries and that I should have asked him more specifically about the type of fries they had. I'm sorry, I thought the point of a menu was to specifically list for the customer what the restaurant has to offer WITHOUT having to ask! Very disappointing lunch to say the least.

    Freshness

Everything I have ever eaten at Al's, breakfast, lunch or dinner) has been exceptional. It has always been fresh, tasty and plentiful. I also have to find out who makes the pickles they usually give with their sandwiches. They are soooooo good. Thank you for being around and staying around as long as you have been.

    Try a Real NY Deli

Another sandwich shop that calls itself a deli!!! While the food is good, this is as much of a deli as Domino's is a Pizzeria! New Yorkers unite, take back the deli's! Serving sandwiches does not make a food establishment a deli, especially a NY deli. Eli's, Abe's, and Second Avenue are REAL NYC delis, not Al's!
