Freshness
Everything I have ever eaten at Al's, breakfast, lunch or dinner) has been exceptional. It has always been fresh, tasty and plentiful. I also have to find out who makes the pickles they usually give with their sandwiches. They are soooooo good. Thank you for being around and staying around as long as you have been.

Try a Real NY Deli
Another sandwich shop that calls itself a deli!!! While the food is good, this is as much of a deli as Domino's is a Pizzeria! New Yorkers unite, take back the deli's! Serving sandwiches does not make a food establishment a deli, especially a NY deli. Eli's, Abe's, and Second Avenue are REAL NYC delis, not Al's!

Great for Takeout
This place is great for take-out. Seating is a little cramped. The sandwiches packed lots of flavor, and the multi-grain bread was superb. Prices are less than similar places in the city.

Office Grinds
Our office ordered in from Al's after reading the reviews. The Mexican food and Low Carb sandwiches were delicious. In an market area where food is mundane, it is great to find good inexpensive food that doesn't skimp on the ingredients. Just make sure if you ask for chips and salsa, they have it. We got Wise potato chips instead.

The Tripledecker
Well, this is a typical (albeit above-par) cold/hot deli with some sitting room. But my real reason for the review is their triple decker (or double decker if you want to be precise.) The perfect combiantion of corned beef pastrami russian dressing and coleslaw; a whole meal packed into a sandwich. I've tried triple deckers elsewhere, and the competition so far comes up short (some serve the cole slaw on the side, wt?)
