    Frequent Customer

I highly recommend Alpha Fusion. I order from here at least twice a week and it is always a quick delivery. Very nice place to sit and eat as well. Delicious!

    Ehhh, okay...probably won't go back

A few of us went for lunch today and I would say the food & atmosphere were subpar. This place had a "B" rating, which we were not aware of from the reviews...The tap water smelled funny & tasted strange and the salad was itty-bitty. The sushi was okay, nothing special. We probably won't go back as there are better places in Midtown for Asian food.

    Love this place!

Whenever I go to Madison Square Garden I come earlier to stop by Alpha, because it's great place to go for a dinner and drinks. There is no such place like Alpha around MSG, mostly it's a junk food places. I try to be health and sushi is a good source of low-cholesterol protein; that is the reason why I prefer going there. I'm very picky about the quality of fish and I could never complain about Alpha's sushi, it's always fresh. I loved their Vietnamese Rolls, it's dry, fragrant, crisp, and soft, but I had to wait for it longer than ten minutes, because the place was packed and busy. One thing about staff surprised my a lot, I went there only ones before and on my second visit I was called by my name and welcomed with shots. The atmosphere at the bar is so energetic and fun, I tried a lot of different shots. If you ever go there try the Russian Mojito shot.

    Surprise for lunch

I found Alpha Fusion menus stuffed under my office door today, and somehow they managed to pass my typical filter that files such things directly into the trash can. Maybe the food looked good, or maybe I was just hungry enough not to care. Regardless, I ordered tofu satay, expecting the typical textured soy product that most places that serve tofu satay serve. I happen to like that style, but that's not what Alpha Fusion delivers. Instead, what arrived were 4 rather large squares of medium-firm tofu, lightly battered and fried - somewhat akin to a tempura, I guess - then topped with a peanut satay sauce. Guess what: it rocked. The sauce had all the normal characteristics of a good satay sauce with a slightly stronger lemongrass influence than one would typically encounter. By the end of the dish I found myself scouring the inside of the container for any remaining bits of the sauce. The julienned jicama and green mango were a nice accompaniment, albeit overpowered by the tastiness of the dish. Next up were the thai crab cakes. These were large cylinders of lump crab meat breaded and fried, topped with diced pineapple and red jalapeno with a fairly typical Thai sweet and sour sauce. While decent enough, these could have used the same lemongrass treatment the satay enjoyed. Without it, or a more interesting turn on the sauce, these would be hard to recommend.

    Random disappointing experience

We order food from Alpha at least once a month and we LOOOVVVEE it... until tonight. The lo mein was the texture of congealed ramen.... the sesame chicken was bland and rough...the wontons, burnt black! We called and complained as this is the first (and only) time we've been disappointed! Hopefully the last.

    food okay, poor service !

the food here was fine, but the service was probably the poorest i'd ever seen in a city restaurant. no server was mean or disrespectful, but i do not exaggerate when i say they had no idea what to do. here are some examples: no one asked if we needed to be seated, when the table was vacated, no one cleaned it for almost 10 minutes, our drink orders were taken 10 minutes later, our food orders were taken another 10 minutes after that by a different waiter who had no idea who took our drink orders. Our drink orders arrived after our food, our main course went to another table. All in all, it was like being served by a team of disorganized high-schoolers.
