not sure what the below reviewers saw, but this foodie was unimpressed. Nice atmosphere, but chairs were very uncomfortable and tables too close; got bumped about 6 times during the meal. service was OK; food was pretty good, but the chef went overboard with the salt. wine choices are all french, which is not good if you like CA. with so many choices in the big city, would go elsewhere.

I didnt know how my favorite Hamptons restaurant would do in the city, but it's a breath of fresh are. The great food at a great value with the best service qualities from its counterpart is a relief for the city. No pretension here, either. Now my favorite EH restaurant

This place is too good to be true. Good food, good prices. Unpretentious. relaxed, welcoming and a nice looking crowd. Are we really in Manhattan? Can't wait to go back.

I've been to Almond a few times now, always with a large group, and I've always loved, loved, LOVED everything about it! The food really speaks for itself. Everything is delicious. My suggestion is to go in a big group, order everything on the menu and share everything. Don't skimp on the appetizers! The seafood platter is awesome, as is the short ribs, fish balls and escargot. You have to order the Grande Mac & Cheese - it comes with truffles and prosciutto!

Love Almond. Everything is great on the menu- even things I wouldn't normally order (like Oysters Rockafeller). The roasted chicken is really yummy- they make it the same in the city as they do in Bridgehampton. Service has always been great- never a problem. Nice wine selection. Really fun atmosphere- pool table in the back room.

Came on a recent Saturday night. Restaurant was empty when we got there at 7:30 but by the time we left at 10 was crowded. The food was very good and extremely reasonably priced. I would go back as this was a good value for the money

Almond is a nice casual addition to the neighborhood. We had the roast chicken, hanger steak, and macaroni all wre excellent dishes which I'd order again. Compared to other nearby places, the prices are extremely reasonable. The decor is a bit wierd (are they going for shabby chic? ) but I will definitely return here for a great meal!
