I've been a couple times over the past few years and Almond never disappoints. Great ingredients prepared with minimal fuss and just enough whimsy. The vibe is lively and great for groups. The service is always gracious and good humored. Highly recommended.

With all the amazing NYC restaurants out there I am so sorry to have wasted my time and my friends. The food was way overpriced and just not good. We ordered the salmon, the chicken, the hanger steak and the homemade pasta all were well below average. The desert was really disappointing as well. It is a nice place if u want to sit outside and have a drink, only a drink!

Me and a friend stumbled into Almond last week after a rough hangover. We sat at the bar for lunch and the blonde bartender was so sweet and understanding of our plight. She suggested bloody marys and added extra Tabasco for us. She then led us through the whole menu telling us what was good for hangovers. We both ordered Mac and cheese. O. M. G. It was perfect. She was always around but never pushy or in our faces. Def coming back to this place.

Food was good. Service not so great- we asked to taste some wine. The waitress brought us one glass to share. I asked if we could each have our own glass to taste because I was sick, and she just glared at me and didn't budge. The restaurant was less than 1/4 full too. For their prices I expect better service. I will not return.

In town for lunch with friends and tried the Almond just from searching on the internet. What a delightful find. I visit the Flatiron District periodically and will definately go back. The atmosphere was relaxing, food tasty and good portions. I recommend you trying it out !

There are times in your life when you totally don't understand why you didn't react to a situation. I can only say it was because my friend and I were excited to see each other. We both ordered steak frite. When it arrived I thought it tasted funny, but put mustard on it an began to focus on my friend not willing to ruin our time. But, a few bites in and I couldn't eat it any longer. The waiter asked how I like it. I said it was the worst steak I'd ever had. Then my friend said hers tasted funny. He was apologetic and came back saying we would get a free dessert. Big deal. A week later and I'm still upset. To think a chef in a good restaurant would risk his reputation and all his learning to serve bad meat. Never again.

I met a friend at Almond for lunch a few weeks ago. It was a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. We both had the pre-fixe, which was both reasonably priced and very tasty. The service was attentive, but not rushed. Overall, a very good lunch spot. I can't wait to try this place for dinner.
